Ask Allah ﷻ for Afw’ (عفو)
Allah ﷻ says in Surah Kahf:
وَوُضِعَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبُ فَتَرَى ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ مُشۡفِقِينَ مِمَّا فِيهِ
And the record [of deeds] will be placed [open], and you will see the criminals fearful of that within it,
وَيَقُولُونَ يَٰوَيْلَتَنَا
They will say, “Woe to us!”
expressing words of regret for having wasted their lives.
مَالِ هَٰذَا ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَا يُغَادِرُ صَغِيرَةًۭ وَلَا كَبِيرَةً إِلَّآ أَحْصَىٰهَا ۚ
What sort of Book is this that leaves neither a small thing nor a large thing, but has recorded it with numbers!
Meaning it has left no sin, major or minor, and no action, no matter how small, but it has recorded it with the utmost precision and accuracy.
وَوَجَدُوا۟ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ حَاضِرًۭا ۗ
And they will find all that they did, present,
وَلاَ يَظْلِمُ رَبُّكَ أَحَدًا
and your Lord treats no one with injustice.
[18:49]
Means, He will judge between His creatures for all of their deeds, and He will not treat any of His creatures with injustice.

Why are we deluded then, thinking we can get away from the sight and judgement of Allah ﷻ!
We will be accounted for everything we did! Small and Big!
_
Do you not fear this Day?
Do you stay forgetful of it?
أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُولَٰئِكَ أَنَّهُمْ مَبْعُوثُونَ
Do they not think that they will be resurrected,
[83:4]
_
Why do we continuously act as if Qiyamah won’t happen, as if we will live forever, as if we won’t age and weaken?
It is self delusion!
_
If you want to avoid this regret, keep your deeds secret and repent constantly!
But don’t just ask for مغفرة (Maghfira) which is forgiveness for sins!
Ask for عفو (Afw) which is a complete wipe for all of the sins itself!
_
And Allah ﷻ is the Pardoner, the most Forgiving!
_
This is a Du’a for Afw!
اللهم إنك عفو تحب العفو فاعفُ عني
“O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me”
_
What a beautiful Du’a!
What a great opportunity, to repent and wipe the Book of Deeds clean of our past sins!
_
May Allah ﷻ Grant us Afw and forgive all our shortcomings.
آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينْ
