Allah ﷻ – The Oft Forgiving & Merciful

Allah ﷻ says in the Qur’an:
وَمَن يَعْمَلْ سُوٓءًا أَوْ يَظْلِمْ نَفْسَهُۥ ثُمَّ يَسْتَغْفِرِ ٱللَّهَ يَجِدِ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورًۭا رَّحِيمًۭا
And whoever does evil or wrongs himself but afterwards seeks Allah’s forgiveness, he will find Allah Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
[4:110]

Ali bin Abi Talhah said that Ibn Abbas commented about this Ayah,
“Allah informs His servants of His forgiveness, for bearing generosity and expansive mercy. So whoever commits a sin, whether minor or major,
ثُمَّ يَسْتَغْفِرِ اللّهَ يَجِدِ اللّهَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا
but afterwards seeks Allah’s forgiveness, he will find Allah Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful
even if his sins were greater than the heavens, the earth and the mountains.”

The key to purifying yourself in the Dunya, is to repent to Allah ﷻ sincerely and with conviction and the intention to never do it again!

Look at the Mercy of Allah ﷻ
Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه reported: The Prophet ﷺ said, “If your sins were to reach to the heavens and then you repented, Allah would still accept your repentance.”
[Sunan Ibn Mājah 4248, Grade: Sahih according to Al-Albani]
One more Hadith to think about..
Abdullah ibn Mas’ud رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“The one who completely repented of sin is like one without sin.”
[Sunan Ibn Mājah 4250, Grade: Hasan (fair) according to Al-Albani]
سبحان الله
To repent is to be successful!
Because then the Shaythan is driven back on multiple fronts!
1️⃣He failed to stop you from repentance for the sin he seduced you to do!
2️⃣ He failed in keeping that sin held against you!

Strike Shaytaan back and overcome his traps!
He is a relentless enemy.
So be wary.
_
Don’t let your guard down! Don’t let this enemy get into your heart,
Wallahi, he is a cancer that destroys from within.

May Allah ﷻ forgive all of us and grant us success in this world and the hereafter.
