It was narrated that Sahl bin Sa’d رضي الله عنه said:
“We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) in Dhul-Hulaifah, when we saw a dead sheep lifting its leg (because of bloating). He said: ‘Don’t you think this is worthless to its owner? By the One in Whose hand is my soul, this world is more worthless to Allah than this (dead sheep) is to its owner. If this world was worth the wing of a mosquito to Allah, the disbeliever would not have a drop to drink from it. ‘”
[Sunan Ibn Majah 4110]

Simple blessings that we take for granted, such need we have of them, yet we forget them!
Yet if they were taken away, we would give up everything in order to have it back!
_
Simple blessings such as the ability to release urine, to excrete your food!
All of that happens with the permission of Allah ﷻ!
And if Allah ﷻ didn’t give your body permission to allow this function,
Your body would be poisoned by the excrement that is being held!

Allah ﷻ says in the Qur’an
وَإِن تَعُدُّواْ نِعۡمَةَ ٱللَّهِ لَا تُحۡصُوهَآۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَغَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ
And if you should count the favors of Allah, you could not enumerate them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
[16:18]
And in another ayah He ﷻ says:
وَءَاتَىٰكُم مِّن كُلِّ مَا سَأَلۡتُمُوهُۚ وَإِن تَعُدُّواْ نِعۡمَتَ ٱللَّهِ لَا تُحۡصُوهَآۗ إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ لَظَلُومٞ كَفَّارٞ
And He gave you from all you asked of Him. And if you should count the favor of Allah, you could not enumerate them. Indeed, mankind is [generally] most unjust and ungrateful.
[14:34]

So many blessings!
What about the ability to blink!
If you couldn’t blink, your eyes would dry out, they would get infected and you would be more than likely to go blind!
_
Or what about the gift of breathing!
Have you ever experienced the inability to breathe?
The sheer panic? The sheer helplessness?
What if, as you disobeyed Allah, He ﷻ cut off your oxygen?
_
But it is out of His Mercy that He gives you respite! ﷻ!
So Allah ﷻ asks you O brothers and Sisters
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
[55:16]

Ya Ibn Adam! Don’t Disobey Allah the Eternal, for this Temporary Life! It is nothing!
_
Ya Ibn Adam! If your blessings were to be stripped from you, What would you sacrifice to keep them?
