His Character was the Qur’an
Qatadah رضي الله عنه reported: I said to Aisha (رضي الله عنه):
“O mother of the believers, tell me about the character of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ”
Aisha (رضي الله عنه) said, “Have you not read the Quran?”
I said, “Of course.”
Aisha (رضي الله عنه) said, “Verily, the character of the Prophet of Allah was the Quran.”
[Sahih Muslim 746]
This was the Prophet ﷺ!
This was our role model ﷺ!
This was our example ﷺ!

Yet we want to follow the role models of the disbelievers,
Footballers, actresses, musicians, singers, celebrities and now even YouTube and Instagram celebrities!
_
Everyone except Prophet ﷺ, who was the walking Qur’an!
_
Oh you Muslim!
If you want to be the best person, with the best qualities, then follow the footsteps of the Prophet ﷺ!

Allah ﷻ says
وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍۢ
And verily, you are surely upon an exalted [standard of] character.
[68:4]
_
His nature and character were patterned according to the Qur’an.
Whatever the Qur’an commanded, he did it, and whatever it forbade, he avoided it.
_
Along with this, Allah ﷻ gave him the exalted character, which included the qualities of modesty, kindness, bravery, pardoning, gentleness and every other good quality.

Aisha رضي الله عنه reported:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never struck anything with his hand, neither a woman nor a servant, unless he was fighting in the way of Allah.
[Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2328]
Anas رضي الله عنه narrated:
that:
“I served the Prophet for ten years. He never said Uff and never blamed me by saying: ‘Why did you do so’ or why did you not do so?’ And the Messenger Of Allah had the best character among all of the people.
[Tirmidhi 2015, Grade: Sahih]

May Allah ﷻ Grant us good manners and make us among the people of the Qur’an.
