Beware of This Day

Allah ﷻ says
كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ ذَآئِقَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ ۖ
Every Soul shall taste death.
[3:185]
But we forget this often and we see that many a time we disobey Allah!
_
And we don’t regret it now and we don’t feel guilty now and therefore we think its fine that we don’t repent.
Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Whoever among you sees evil, let him change it with his hand. If he is unable to do so, then with his tongue. If he is unable to do so, then with his heart, and that is the weakest level of faith.”
[Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 49]

How many of us do not hate our sins or the sins of others?
What is the case for our Imaan then?
_
Fear Allah! Before Death comes to you!
Before you stand on Qiyamah!
_
Allah ﷻ talks about when the evil people will receive their Book of Deeds
وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ وَرَآءَ ظَهْرِهِۦ
As for the one who receives his book behind his back
[84:10]
Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه said “The person will stretch out his right hand and the angel that comes to him will pull it harshly, dislocating it. And then the Angel will then put his left arm through the chest and their record in their hand.”
_
Imagine their terror and sorrow when they realise what abode they will be in!
_
And Allah ﷻ says about their regret
وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ ٱلظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى ٱتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ ٱلرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًۭا
And remember a day when the wrongdoer will bite his hands and say “Oh I wish I had taken a path with the Messenger”
[25:27]

Every Muslim shall eventually enter Paradise.
But how much torment is this Dunya worth?
How many of us through our actions of disobedience reject Allah ﷻ?
When we sin privately, do we forget that Allah ﷻ is Al Baseer?
When we lie and cheat, Do we forget that Allah ﷻ is Al Hakim?
When we don’t repent do we forget that Allah ﷻ is Ar Rahman and Al Ghaffar?
_
And Allah ﷻ says
ٱلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْحَقُّ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ
The Sovereignty of that day will be for Ar Rahman!
[25:26]
_
Nobody else will help you, and they won’t be able to help you.
So help yourself before the day comes when you are helpless.
