EPISODE 2️⃣6️⃣ – REWARDS OF IBAD-UR-RAHMAN (Continuation)
In the previous episode we discussed about the two rewards of Ibad Ur Rahman.
Which were Reward of Jannah and Welcoming and Honoring from the Angels
In this episode we will look at what the ayah says next In Shaa Allaah..
3️⃣ They Will Remain Forever in Jannah
The ayah continues:
خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا
Abiding therein…
[Surah Al-Furqan 25:76]
This portion of the ayah means that the Ibad-ur Rahman will settle in Jannah and will never leave, or move, or die. They will never exit, or even wish to move to somewhere else! This is like the Ayah:
وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ سُعِدُوا فَفِي الْجَنَّةِ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا مَا دَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ رَبُّكَ ۖ عَطَاءً غَيْرَ مَجْذُوذٍ
And those who are blessed, they will be in Jannah,abiding therein for all the time that the heavens and the earth endure except what your Lord should will – a bestowal uninterrupted.
[Surah Hud 11:108]
Ibnu Jarir Ath Thobari rahimahullah said that when the Arabs want to describe something that lasts forever, they usually say:
هذا دائم دوام السموات والأرض
“It shall remain as long as the heavens and the earth exist.”
(I.e. it will remain forever)
My dear brothers and sisters in Islam, internalize and sink this into our hearts: Jannah is forever. There is no end to this perfect gift from Allaah. You will no longer feel sad in Jannah. You will no longer have to worry about the future. You will no longer need to work, or pay those bills. You will no longer worry of losing anyone you love. Anything painful that you are enduring right now – any sadness, any heartbreak or heartache – all of them will come to end and forgotten the moment you step in Jannah. Remember when Prophet ﷺ said:
“The people of Jannah will enter Jannah, and the people of the Fire will enter the Fire; then a call-maker will get up (and make an announcement) among them: O the people of the Fire! No death anymore! And O people of Paradise! No death (anymore) but Eternity.”
[Sahih Bukhari]
So for this, strive o Muslims! Be one of those whom Allaah allow to step into Jannah, where exactly on that moment, you will forget and leave every single sadness and every single anguish behind.
As Prophet ﷺ said:
“One of the people of Jannah who had experienced extreme misery in the life of this world will be dipped in Jannah. Then he will be asked: ‘O son of Adam! Did you ever experience any misery? Did you ever encounter difficulty?’
He will say: “By Allaah, no my Rabb, I neither experienced misery nor passed through hardship.”
[Sahih Muslim]
