Love of Life, Hatred of Death

Many people have an understanding that steadfastness upon the Deen of Allah is weakness!
But No!
Rather This is Honour!

The words of Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله rings true here:

إن في الدينا جنة، من لم يدخلها لم يدخل جنة الأخرة

“Indeed there is a Jannah in the Dunya, whoever does not enter it, will not enter the Jannah of the Akhirah”

This is steadfastness, Ibadah, happiness and contentment with the situations Allah ﷻ has decreed!

The Prophet ﷺ said “Imminently, there will come a time when the nations gather against you, just as people gather around a feast.”
A man said, “Will it be because we are few at that time, O Allah’s Messenger?”
He responded, “No, you will be numerous in those times, but you will be as useless as the scum of the sea, and Allah will remove the fear that your enemies used to posses from you from their chests, and He will place al-Wahn in your hearts”
It was said, “What is الوهن?”
He responded, “Love of life, and hatred of death.”
[Sunan Abi Dawud 4297, Grade: Sahih]

Wahn linguistically means weakness, and the Prophet ﷺ used it describing Love of Dunya and hatred of Death…
Thereby equating that quality to weakness!

Islam is Honour,
Be proud of it !
Islam is Strength,
Wear it via your actions and speech, it is a badge of honour!
Islam is a promise, Fulfil it !
Islam is a duty, perform it !
Islam is Happiness, enjoy it!
The one with Islam and no wealth, is more content than the one with riches, yet no Islam!

And the words of Umar رضي الله عنه ring loudly
“Verily, we were a disgraceful people and Allah honored us with Islam, so if we seek honor from other than Islam, then Allah will humiliate us.”
_
This Deen is honour!
Take pride in it !
This Seen is love ! Love it!
_
May Allah ﷻ keep us steadfast in His Deen.
