What is Tawheed?
Muhammad ibn ‘Abdil-Wahhaab رحمه الله said:
وأعظمُ ما أَمرَ اللهُ به التوحيدَ وهو إفرادُ اللهِ بالعبادة
And the greatest of all that Allaah has commanded is Tawheed, and it is to single out Allaah with all worship.
At Tawheed is knowing the core of your heart
Testifying that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah ﷻ,
This means to worship Allah ﷻ and to reject anything along with Him.
Tawheed is the essence of Islam, and it is the starting and ending point for all goodness and excellence.
Linguistically Tawheed means: “To make something one, or to assert the oneness of something.”
However, what we are concerned with here is the Shari’ah or technical meaning of Tawhîd which is: “To single out Allah ﷻ alone for worship.”
Al-Bayjowri رحمه الله said:
“It is to single-out al-Ma’bûd (the One to be worshipped – i.e. Allah) with worship, along with belief and affirmation in the oneness and uniqueness of His Dhat (Essence), Sifat (Attributes) and Actions.”

Shaykh ’Abdul-Qadir al-Jilani رحمه الله said:
“So it is upon you to fear Allah – the Mighty and Majestic – and not to fear anyone else except Him. Turn to Allah – the Mighty and Majestic – for your every need, and rely upon Him alone – the Most High – seeking that which you need from Him alone. Do not rely upon anyone other than Allâh. And Tawheed – all is contained in Tawheed.”

This is true Tawheed!
We need to live our lives for Allah ﷻ!
Because Allah says
وَ مَا خَلَقتُ الجِنَّ وَ الإِنسَ اِلَّا لِيَعبُدُو
And I did not create the Jinn and mankind except to worship me.
[51:56]

We all make mistakes! We all go through hardship! We all are dependant!
But let us reaffirm our Iman and our Tawheed by making Tawbah immediately!

Let us live our lives so that we have implemented the Ayaat
قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Say: Indeed my Salah, my Sacrifice, my living and my Dying is for Allah the Lord of the worlds!
[6:162]

And when a person, lives this life,
He lives the best life full of happiness and contentment, even if he is poor in the Dunya.
And an even better one in the Akhirah!
Allah ﷻ says
فَمَنِ اتَّبَعَ هُدَايَ فَلَا يَضِلُّ وَلَا يَشْقَى
Whoever follows my guidance shall never go astray nor be distressed.
[20:123]

May Allah ﷻ keep us steadfast upon Tawheed and forgive all our shortcomings.
آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينْ
