Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه reported:
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“When Allah loves a slave, calls out Jibril and says: ‘I love so-and-so; so love him’. Then Jibril loves him. After that he (Jibril) announces to the inhabitants of heavens that Allah loves so- and-so; so love him; and the inhabitants of the heavens (the angels) also love him and then make people on earth love him.”
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Allah ﷻ says

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ سَيَجْعَلُ لَهُمُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ وُدًّۭا

Verily, those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, the Most Gracious will bestow love for them.
[19:96]

Do you want the love of Allah ﷻ?
Of course you do!

In another Hadith Qudsi
Prophet ﷺ said that Allah ﷻ said “My slave does not draw nearer to Me with anything more beloved to Me than the Faraa’idh that I have imposed upon him. And My slave continues to draw close to Me with the Nawafil actions until such that I love him. And when I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes, and his foot with which he walks. If he were to ask Me, I would give him. If he were to seek refuge with Me, I would give him refuge”
[Sahih Bukhari 6502]

We need to stop seeking the love of that girl/boy!
The love of the people!
The love of our friends!
At the expense of the Love of Allah ﷻ! The Most-Loving!

Because when we have acquired the love of Ar Rahman! Al Wadud! Al Ghaffar! Then the love from anything and anyone in this Dunya becomes pointless and useless!
_
But we must draw closer to Allah ﷻ and strive in our Nawafil actions,
Sunnah prayers,
Continuous Adkhaar,
Du’a,
Optional Fasting,
All of these things and more,
Bring a person closer to Allah ﷻ!

As Prophet ﷺ said that Allah ﷻ says in another Hadith Qudsi,
“He who draws close to Me a hand’s span, I will draw close to him an arm’s length. And whoever draws near Me an arm’s length, I will draw near him a fathom’s length. And whoever comes to Me walking, I will go to him running.”
[Sahih Muslim 2687]

The Love of Allah ﷻ means His pleasure! Jannah! Happiness in the Dunya and the Akhirah!

May Allah ﷻ Grant us the blessing of His love and grant us entry into His paradise.
