Lessons from their stories

Allah ﷻ Has sent the women of mankind, 4 examples in Surah Tahrim.
_
Two who were the wives of Prophets, yet they disbelieved and they will be in the fire.
The wife of Prophet Nuh عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ and the wife of Prophet Lut عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ
_
And the other two were not in the company of prophets, one was the wife of Fir’awn!
The other being Maryam عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ
Yet they were righteous.
_
Allah ﷻ says

وَضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلًۭا لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱمْرَأَتَ فِرْعَوْنَ

And Allah presents the example of those who believed, the wife of Fir’awn.
[66:11]

Ibn Jarir said that Al-Qasim bin Abi Bazzah said, “Firawn’s wife used to ask, Who prevailed' When she was told,Musa and Harun prevailed’, she said, `I believe in the Lord of Musa and Harun.’

Firawn sent his aides to her and said to them, `Find the biggest stone. If she insists on keeping her faith, throw the stone on her, otherwise she is my wife.’

When they came to her, she looked up to the sky and was able to see her house in Paradise. She persisted on the faith and said:

رَبِّ ٱبْنِ لِى عِندَكَ بَيْتًۭا فِى ٱلْجَنَّةِ وَنَجِّنِى مِن فِرْعَوْنَ وَعَمَلِهِ

My Lord! Build for me a home with You in Paradise, and save me from Fir`awn and his work

وَنَجِّنِى مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

And save me from the wrongdoing people.
[66:11]

and her soul was then captured.
The stone was thrown on her lifeless body.’

Why am I telling you about ‘Aasiyah Bint Muzahim?
One of the 4 women named as the best women in Jannah?
_
As an example for those Men or Women, who are forbidden in their own homes, or on the street from practicing Islam.
_
Have Sabr like ‘Aasiyah!
Have Sabr upon the obedience of Allah ﷻ!
Whether you are jeered at for the Hijab or mocked for the beard!
Whether you are cursed on the street for your modesty, or your appearance upon the Sunnah!
_
Don’t compromise your Religion and do not lose Hope till the very end.
_
Culture comes before Religion for some, and for some its personal safety, but never compromise on the Deen, even for Family!
_
Just like Aasiyah never compromised, even as the wife of a Pharoah, Wealth and Power within her reach!
_
On a larger scale, we must tackle the cultural mindsets of the elder generation, as they act in the name of Islam, imposing culture rather than religion.
_
May Allah ﷻ keep us steadfast on His deen.
