Where are we compared to them?
Wallahi, The Sahaba رضي الله عنهم made so many sacrifices on the Battle of Uhud with their lives.
If we only knew the extent of their sacrifice, we wouldn’t throw away the Deen so easily.

Remember Talha Ibn UbaidAllah رضي الله عنه, The Hero who successfully repelled the Mushrikeen single handedly, with no care for what struck him, the man dubbed the “Living Martyr” because of the injuries he sustained that day.
The Prophet ﷺ said about Talha رضي الله عنه : “He, who desires to see a martyr walking on the ground, let him look at Talha bin Ubaidullah.”

And who can forget Abu Ubaidah رضي الله عنه who ran to Prophet ﷺ and ripped out the chainlink piercing his blessed cheek with his mouth, taking out his two front teeth in the process.

And who can forget Mus’ab ibn Umayr رضي الله عنه who was martyred while raising the banner as others fled, when his hand was severed, he switched hands and raised it higher still, Shouting the Takbir until he was struck by a spear.
The Man dubbed the Prince of Makkah who was buried in a single cloth and leaves because he gave it all up for the sake of Allah.
سبحان الله
What sacrifices that we can’t even imagine doing, we find the any small sacrifice difficult even if we live in comfort and we complain about it on top of that!

These people and Prophet ﷺ bled for you and worked hard to ensure the victory of the Deen.
But we have fallen short of this task now and we have left the religion behind us, chasing other means of glory and look how we are humiliated.
_
And if we continue to do this, we will be refused the water that will quench thirst on the day when there is no water.
_
We will be raised far away from the one man that would save us because we loved others more than him and we will be raised with whom we love.
_
Ya Ibn Adam! What will be your excuse for leaving the honour of sacrifice and the honourable Sunnah?
_
Will you say to Allah ﷻ you found it too hard? When others before you sacrificed more with much less.
Ya Ibn Adam! If you want to be successful, hold to the Sunnah with your Molar teeth and never let go otherwise you have truly lost.
_
Oh Allah ﷻ make us among those who strictly adhere to the Sunnah and keep us steadfast upon it.
