Allah ﷻ says in the Qur’an:
وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يُقْسِمُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ مَا لَبِثُوا۟ غَيْرَ سَاعَةٍۢ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ كَانُوا۟ يُؤْفَكُونَ
And the Day the Hour appears the criminals will swear they had remained but an hour. Thus they were deluded.
[30:55]

سبحان الله
The Dunya will feel like an Hour when the day of Qiyamah commences.
_
This is how short the Dunya lasts and testament to the longetivity of Yawm Al Qiyamah and the Finality of Akhirah.
_
This is as Allah ﷻ says
كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوا إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَاهَا
On the Day they see it, it will be as if they had stayed (in the world) no more than one evening or its morning.
[79:46]

Can you imagine the sinners and the wicked who did not repent,
Their sorrow,
Their Misery,
Their Anguish,
When they realise they strove for 50,60,70,80,90 years for the Delusion of this Dunya only to find that Yawm Al Qiyamah itself is 50,000 years as Allah ﷻ says
تَعْرُجُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ
The angels and the Spirit will ascend to Him during a Day the extent of which is fifty thousand years.
[70:4]

And only to find that when Allah ﷻ spoke and said
خَالِدِيْنَ فِيْهَا اَبَدًا
Enter therein forever.
_
Now Imagine the Opposite for the Mu’min who is Righteous.
That when Allah ﷻ says
خَالِدِيْنَ فِيْهَا اَبَدًا
Enter therein forever.
_
He is rejoicing and laughing and exclaiming praises because he knows the pleasures that wait for him.
_
Didn’t Allah ﷻ say to us
وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا مَتَاعُ الْغُرُور
And what is the life of this world except a temporary delusion?
[3:185]
_
How can we say that we were not warned that this life is like a candle light slowly burning out.
_
Now its upto us to decide.
Jannah requires effort and sacrifice but its rewards are everlasting.
Jahannam is easy to fall into and hard to get out of, its pleasures are temporary but they are mind numbing, and its torment is everlasting.
_
Ya Ibn Adam! The Paths have been drawn, the stone has been set, the Books have begun recording.
The choice is yours..
