Laments of the People of Hellfire
The people of Hell, will have 4 wishes, which Allah ﷻ mentions in the Qur’an
1️⃣They will first wish to be removed from the fire, and they will seek this wish from Allah ﷻ,
رَبَّنَآ أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْهَا فَإِنْ عُدْنَا فَإِنَّا ظَٰلِمُونَ
Our Lord! Bring us out of this. If ever we return (to evil), then indeed we shall be wrongdoers.
قَالَ ٱخۡسَـُٔواْ فِيهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُونِ
He will say, “Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me.
[23:107-108]
2️⃣They will also wish that they are caused to die.
وَنَادَوْا يَا مَالِكُ لِيَقْضِ عَلَيْنَا رَبُّكَ
And they will call “Oh Malik! (Keeper of hell) let your Lord put an end to us!”
قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ مَاكِثُونَ
He will say “You shall abide forever,
لَقَدْ جِئْنَاكُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَكُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَارِهُونَ
Indeed We have brought the truth to you, but most of you have a hatred for the truth
[43:77-78]
3️⃣ After many years they will that Allah ﷻ lightens the punishment upon them for one day.
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِي ٱلنَّارِ لِخَزَنَةِ جَهَنَّمَ ٱدۡعُواْ رَبَّكُمۡ يُخَفِّفۡ عَنَّا يَوۡمٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ
And those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, “Supplicate your Lord to lighten for us a day from the punishment.”
[40:49]
4️⃣Fourthly, They will wish to drink!
وَنَادَىٰٓ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ أَنْ أَفِيضُوا۟ عَلَيْنَا مِنَ ٱلْمَآءِ أَوْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ
And the People of Hell will call to the people of Jannah: “Pour on us some water or anything that Allah has provided you with”
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ حَرَّمَهُمَا عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
They will say: “Both Allah has forbidden for the disbelievers.”
[7:50]

Remember that each day is 1000 years!
And these events will take place many years after each other!

Reflect on how the people of the fire will be forgotten, despised and ignored by Allah ﷻ, his Angels and those who entered Jannah!
_
Nothing will aid them!
They won’t escape the punishment!
Rather it will be a punishment that is recurring for eternity!
Contemplate on the notion of eternity!
To have your skin burned, renewed and then burned again and again!

Is it not time to repent?!!!
