Seeing the Face of Allah ﷻ

Allah ﷻ says in the Qur’an:
عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ
On adorned couches, observing.
[83:35]
One Opinion is that they will be gazing upon their rewards in Jannah, on highly raised thrones overlooking it all and viewing it all.
And another more motivating opinion is that they will be looking at Allah ﷻ.

And This is the opposite of what those wicked people have been described with earlier on in Surah Mutaffifin
كَلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ
Nay! Surely, they (evildoers) will be veiled from seeing their Lord that Day.
[83:15]

Another ayah also emphasises the bliss of the believer when they see Allah
As Allah ﷻ says:
وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ نَّاضِرَةٌ
On that day faces will be bright
إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌۭ
Looking towards their Lord.
[75:22-23]
Al Hasan رحمه الله said “They will look at Allah and become Radiant because of His Noor”

This shows that the reward of Ahlul Jannah will have increased in greatest multitudes simply by looking at Allah ﷻ

As Prophet ﷺ says in a Hadith narrated in Muslim
“When the inhabitants of Paradise enter Paradise, Allah will say to them, ‘Do you want Me to give you anything more?’ They will reply, ‘Have You not made our faces bright? Have You not brought us into Paradise and moved us from Hell?’ Allah will then remove the Veil and they will feel that they have not been awarded anything dearer to them than looking at their Lord.”
[Ṣahih Muslim 181]

As Opposed to the Wicked and the disbelievers.
About whom Allah ﷻ says
وَوُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌۭ
And faces on that day will be covered in Dust
تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَة
Darkness will cover them
اُلٰئِكَ هُمُ الْكَفَرَةُ الْفَجَرَة
They are the disbelieving, the wicked.
[80:40-42]
These people will be disgraced by having black dusty faces and they will be prevented from seeing Allah and they will only see Hellfire.

The stark contrast is something to contemplate upon.
