Allah ﷻ says
وَيْلٌۭ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍۢ لُّمَزَةٍ
Woe be to Every Slanderer and Defamer!
[104:1]
Allah ﷻ cursed the one who slanders and defames a person.
_
And Allah ﷻ says in another Ayah
وَلَا تَلۡمِزُوٓاْ أَنفُسَكُمۡ وَلَا تَنَابَزُواْ بِٱلۡأَلۡقَٰبِۖ
And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames.
[49:11]
Meaning none of you should defame each other.

Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Do you know what backbiting is?” They said, “Allah and his messenger know best.” The Prophet said, “To mention your brother in a way he dislikes.” It was said, “What do you think if what I said about him is true?” The Prophet ﷺ said, “If what you say about him is true, it is backbiting. If it is not true, it is slander.”
[Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2589]
And remember how Allah ﷻ compared Backbiting to eating the flesh of your Dead Brother in Surah Hujurat Verse 12.
We should never mock a Muslim brother or sister for anything nor should we talk about matters which they don’t want to be talked about.
It is their right over you and your right over them that you both treat each other well and be kind to one another.

We mock the appearance of others so casually.
But Allah ﷻ says
فَتَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ ٱلْخَٰلِقِينَ
So Blessed is Allah the best of creators.
[23:14]

When we mock the creation of Allah ﷻ, we must reflect on who we are indirectly mocking.
We are indirectly mocking Allah ﷻ, implying that Allah didn’t create someone perfectly as He intended.

And are we refuting these Ayaat by mocking someone like this?
Calling someone ugly when Allah ﷻ says:
ٱلَّذِىٓ أَحْسَنَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقَهُۥ
Who perfected everything which he has created.
وَبَدَأَ خَلْقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنِ مِن طِينٍۢ
And he began the creation of man from Clay.
[32:7]

You are all made from clay, you all bleed red!
_
Hudhayfah رضي الله عنه reported: The Prophet ﷺ said:
لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ قَتَّاتٌ
“The slanderer will not enter Paradise.”
[Sahih al-Bukhārī 5709, Sahih Muslim 105]
_
Always be mindful of what you say.
How many people will be thrown into Hell on their faces by what their tongues reaped?
_
Ya Ibn Adam! Keep your brothers and sisters safe from your hands and your tongue!
Ya Ibn Adam! Don’t Defame, Expose or Slander anyone! Lest Allah ﷻ Exposes and Disgraces you either on Dunya or on Qiyamah.
