EPISODE 2️⃣
3️⃣ Obedience towards Allaah (ﷻ) and His Messanger (ﷺ)
Narrated Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه): The Messenger (ﷺ) said, “All my nation will enter the Paradise except those who refuse.” The companions asked, “O Rasulullah! Who would refuse?” He (ﷺ) said, “Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise and whoever disobeys me has indeed refused (to go to Paradise).”
[Sahih Al Bukhaari, Vol. 9, Book 92, Hadith 384]
4️⃣ Seeking and spreading Islamic Knowledge
Abdur-Rahman bin Aban (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) stated: “May Allaah brighten (the face of) a person who hears a hadith from us and memorise it to convey it to others; for perhaps a receiver of knowledge is more knowledgeable than a transmitter, and perhaps a transmitter (of knowledge), is not versed in knowledge.
[Sunan Al-Tirmidhi, Book on knowledge, no. 2656; Sunan Abu Dawud, Book on knowledge, no. 3660.]
Now Imagine the reward you get for sharing this post!
That’s not all, it gets even better!
Kathir ibn Qays (رضي الله عنه) said: ‘I was sitting with Abud Darda’ (رضي الله عنه) in the mosque of Damascus. A man came to him and said: “Abu Darda, I have come to you from the town of the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) for a tradition that I have heard you relate from the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ). I have come for no other purpose.”‘
‘He (Abu Darda) said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) say: “If anyone travels on a road in search of knowledge, Allaah will cause him to travel on one of the roads of Paradise. The angels will lower their wings in their great pleasure with one who seeks knowledge, the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth and the fish in the deep waters will ask forgiveness for the learned man. The superiority of the learned man over the devout is like that of the moon, on the night when it is full, over the rest of the stars. The learned are the heirs of the Prophets, and the Prophets leave neither dinar nor dirham, leaving only knowledge, and he who takes it takes an abundant portion.”‘
[Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2606, Sunan Abi Dawood 3641, Sahih]
Subhanallah…
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Whoever follows a path in pursuit of knowledge, Allaah will make easy for him a path to paradise. No people gather in one of the houses of Allaah, reciting the Book of Allaah and teaching it to one another, but the angels will surround them, tranquility will descend upon them, mercy will envelop them and Allaah will mention them to those who are with Him. And whoever is hindered because of his bad deeds, his lineage will be of no avail to him.”
[Sahih Muslim Book 35, Hadith 6518]
The biggest virtue of seeking and spreading knowledge, is that it is one of the three thing which is guaranteed to help us even after our death:
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Rosool (ﷺ) said: “The action of man stops when he dies except three things: continuous charity, knowledge (that he shares/teaches) or a pious child who prays for him.
[Sahih Muslim: 4223]
By Allaah (ﷻ), the quest for beneficial knowledge cannot be over emphasized.
رَّبِّ زِدۡنِي عِلۡمٗا
May Allaah increase us in knowledge.
To be continued… إِنْ شَاءَ ٱللّٰهُ
