Allah ﷻ is Ready to Forgive

Allah ﷻ says
And Allah wishes to accept your repentance.
[4:27]
_
Allah ﷻ is encouraging us to repent and turn back to Him!
He doesn’t want to punish us,
As He ﷻ says
What would Allah ﷻ do with your punishment?
[4:147]
Rather His Rahma and Maghfirah is waiting for us in the repentance we do!
_
Allah ﷻ does not accept repentance if it is not even present though! Except for whom He pleases for.
_
We have no guarantee of this honour… So what stops you from turning back in repentance.
_
Allah ﷻ continues:
but those who follow their lusts, wish that you (believers) should deviate tremendously away from the Right Path.
[4:27]
_
Allah ﷻ is encouraging us in this Ayah, explaining that only He ﷻ knows and wants the absolute best for you!
_
As Allah ﷻ says:
And Allah wants to lighten for you [your difficulties]
[4:28]
Obedience and Ibadah is hard to stay steadfast upon.
Only with contentment and repentance can one feel inclined towards Allah ﷻ and His obedience and worship!
Thus He ﷻ encourages us to repent.
_
And Allah ﷻ finishes the Ayah
And man was created weak.
[4:28]
_
Allah ﷻ created you and therefore He ﷻ knows you and your desires!
He ﷻ knows you are weak, so the doors of repentance are open to a slave, doors which are as wide as the west and the east, doors that only close upon death or upon the sun coming from the west!
As in a Hadith reported by Abu Huraira The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Whoever repents before the sun rises from the west, Allah will accept his repentance.”
[Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2703]
_
And Allah ﷻ says in another Ayah:
يأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ تُوبُواْ إِلَى اللَّهِ تَوْبَةً نَّصُوحاً
Oh you who believe, Repent to Allah a sincere repentance
[66:8]
Meaning, a true, firm repentance that erases the evil sins that preceded it and mend the shortcoming of the repenting person.
Umar رضي الله عنه said, “It is a servant who repents from a sin and never commits it again.”
[Tafsir al-Tabari 23/107]
_
So what stops you from repenting?
_
May Allah ﷻ forgive us and make us among those who repent sincerely.
