Allah ﷻ says about the Hellfire

إِذَا رَأَتْهُم مِّن مَّكَانٍۭ بَعِيدٍۢ سَمِعُوا۟ لَهَا تَغَيُّظًۭا وَزَفِيرًۭا

When it sees them from a great distance, they will hear it Roaring with fury and rage.
[25:12]
As Suddi رحمه الله said this Distance is 100 years.
_
Can you imagine their terror on that day?
The day as Allah ﷻ says

يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ الدِّيْنِ

They shall enter it on the Day of Judgement

وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ

And they shall not be absent from it.
[82:15-16]

And when they do enter it.
Allah ﷻ says

ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوْتُ فِيهَا وَ لَا يَحْيٰى

And in it they shall neither die or be living.
[87:13]
_
This is what Allah ﷻ has promised those who disobeyed Him ﷻ and rebelled against Him ﷻ.
_
They shall be in such darkness and woe!
Allah ﷻ says

فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُوْا ثُبُوْرًا

He shall soon call for destruction.
[84:11]
_
Now imagine the people of Jannah.
_
Allah ﷻ says
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَتْقَى

And the most Pious will be kept away from it.
[92:17]
_
Allah ﷻ also says
لَا يَسْمَعُوْنَ حَسِيْسَهَا

They shall not hear its sound!
[21:102]

Allah ﷻ will protect them and shield them from the sound of Jahannam and will only fill their senses with bliss.

As Allah ﷻ says;

اِنَّ الْاَبْرَارَ لَفِىْ نَعِيْمٍ

Surely the Pious shall be in bliss

عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ

Upon Highly Placed Thrones, Looking.
[83:22-23]

While the Wicked person will be faced with the fire and prevented from seeing Allah ﷻ,
As Allah ﷻ says

كَلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ

Nay! They shall indeed, in that day, be veiled from their Rabb!
[83:15]
_
The Pious believers will be above their Reward on Highly placed thrones, hearing nothing but

إِلَّا قِيلًۭا سَلَٰمًۭا سَلَٰمًۭا

Except for the saying Peace! Peace!
[56:26]
_
From who?
From Allah ﷻ, from the Angels, from Muhammad ﷺ and the Ambiya عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ. From the Sahaba, the Righteous people.
_
And they will be looking at who?
They’ll be looking at Allah ﷻ.
_
Ya Ibn Adam!

فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ

Where are you going?
[81:26]
When Allah ﷻ Has prepared Jannah and warned you of Hell?
_
Reflect..
May Allah ﷻ protect us from the Hellfire and grant us Jannatul Firdaus.
