Salah Purifies You
Shaytaan is an open enemy and we must get close to Allah ﷻ through righteous action to seek protection from Shaytaan.

What Righteous action should we seek to establish and perform with continuity and abdundance?
Salah
Imam Malik رحمه الله narrates a Hadith,
Prophet ﷺ said “Keep to the straight path although you won’t be able to do so completely; and know that the best of deeds is Salah and only a believer preserves his Whudu.”
[Recorded in Al-Muwatta]

The best of Deeds is Salah, Ya Ikhwaan and Akhawaat. Salah is your main pillar of Ibadah that holds firm your whole Deen. Everything stems from your Salah.
But why Salah?
Allah ﷻ says in the Qur’an
وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَوةَ إِنَّ الصَّلَوةَ تَنْهَى عَنِ الْفَحْشَآءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ
And perform the Salah. Verily, the Salah prevents from Immorality and Evil
[29:45]

When you pray Salah regularly and you begin to continue it, the evil you do will start to impede you from it, and because you have established the Salah, you will forego the evil.
It also acts as a prevention, a man may have left with the intention of sinning, but on his way he decides to pray Salah as he reminded about it. And after he leaves he returns home and doesn’t commit the sin.

Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “If there was a river at your door and he took a bath in it five times a day, would you notice any dirt on him?” They said, “Not a trace of dirt would be left.” The Prophet said, “That is the parable of the five prayers by which Allah removes sins.”
[Sahih al-Bukhari 505, Sahih Muslim 667]

It is also a way to gain forgiveness from Allah ﷻ. When Salah is done with Ikhlaas and Ihsan.
This is the best of Deeds for a Mu’min, strive to achieve regularity in it.

Because what happens if we don’t?
We are thrown directly back into the vicious cycle of sins, we go back to Shaytaan.
As Allah ﷻ says
فَخَلَفَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَاتَّبَعُوا الشَّهَوَاتِ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقُوْنَ غَيِّا
And there came successors who neglected Salah and followed their lusts, so they will meet Evil.
[19:59]

Allah ﷻ has made Leaving Salah and Following our desires synonymous in this Ayah.
How more clear can it be?

May Allah ﷻ guide us and help us guard our Salah.
