Do not take this Deen lightly
﷽
Allah ﷻ says in Surah Al-A’raf:
وَنَادَىٰٓ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ أَنْ أَفِيضُوا۟ عَلَيْنَا مِنَ ٱلْمَآءِ أَوْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ ۚ
And the dwellers of the Fire will call to the dwellers of Paradise: “Pour on us some water or anything that Allah has provided you with.”
[7:50]
Sufyan Ath Thawri رحمه الله said “That is food”
Sa’id bin Jubayr رحمه الله commented on this Ayah, “One of them will call his father or brother, ‘I have been burned, so pour some water on me.’ The believers will say,
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ حَرَّمَهُمَا عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
Both Allah has forbidden to the disbelievers.
[7:50]

Allah ﷻ says
ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ دِينَهُمْ لَهْوًۭا وَلَعِبًۭا وَغَرَّتْهُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ
Who took their religion as distraction and amusement and whom the worldly life deluded.
[7:51]
Allah ﷻ describes the disbelievers as taking the religion as amusement and play, and being deceived by this Dunya.
_
The consequence of this?
فَٱلْيَوْمَ نَنسَىٰهُمْ كَمَا نَسُوا۟ لِقَآءَ يَوْمِهِمْ هَٰذَا
So this Day We shall forget them as they forgot their meeting of this Day
[7:51]
Meaning Allah ﷻ will treat them as if He forgot them.
_
Can you imagine being forgotten on Qiyamah?
_
More than that, Can you imagine having the food and drink of Jannah being Haram upon you?
_
The next time you decide to shrug off the Ayaat and Ahadith and take them lightly,
Remember, that Allah will treat you as forgotten on a day when you will beg to be remembered.
_
The next time you say “But I love her/him!” Or “These rules were meant for the people of that time anyway!”
Wallahi, don’t take the Deen lightly,
Don’t take it for a joke.
_
Allah ﷻ even says regarding the Qur’an,
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلٌۭ فَصْلٌۭ
Indeed it is a conclusive statement
وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلْهَزْلِ
and is not to be taken lightly.
[86:13-14]
_
May Allah ﷻ ease our affairs, grant us highest rank in Jannah and protect us from hell.
