Allah ﷻ says in the Qur’an

الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُمْ بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ

Those who believed, and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah.

Meaning, their hearts find comfort on the side of Allah, become tranquil when He is remembered and pleased to have Him as their Protector and Supporter.

أَلاَ بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ

Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.

and surely, He is worthy of it.

ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّلِحَٰتِ طُوبَىٰ لَهُمْ وَحُسْنُ مَـَٔابٍۢ

Those who have believed and done righteous deeds – a good state is theirs and a good return.
[13:28-29]

Do you feel sad, aggrieved, restless, anxious, angry?
Unable to shake these emotions?
Does it hinder your daily life?
If so, then ask yourself.
Are my intentions towards Allah ﷻ correct?
Do I do my obligations?
Do I do any extra Nawaafil?
Do I seek knowledge?
_
Because this Ayah of Qur’an, provides you with a clear understanding of the problem and also the solution simultaneously.
Restlessness, sadness, anxiety etc. All come from the deficiency in our Dhikr of Allah ﷻ.

While the cure for the same problem is to increase Dhikr of Allah ﷻ.
We often find that we have some sort of deficiency in our Ibadah.
Laziness, neglect, a routine act rather than an act of worship etc.
And we do not make an attempt to improve it, this makes our hearts hard and makes it easier for shaytaan to corrupt us.

As Prophet ﷺ said “There is a piece of flesh in the body which when it is sound, the whole body is sound. And when it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt”
[Sahih Bukhari 52]
سبحان الله
Ya’ani said; he is referring to the heart.
We will only feel content when we submit to Allah ﷻ, because whenever we have to sacrifice and no matter the hardship we will remember Jannah is waiting and so is Allah’s pleasure.
What greater thing could you find than that?

Ya Ibn Adam! Good actions and remembering Allah’s Blessings on you create contentment in the heart.
So strive towards it.

May Allah ﷻ make us righteous and grant us Jannah.
