Allah ﷻ always has a plan for us, we may not see it, we may not comprehend it, we may not see the fruits of this plan for us immediately and it may not come to fruition the way we expected.

But we must have Tawakkul in Allah ﷻ and We mustn’t complain about the Qadr of Allah ﷻ.

Because when we are tested in this Dunya, that is when we realise our attachment to Allah ﷻ.

As Allah ﷻ says

فَأَمَّا الْإِنْسَانُ إِذَا مَاابْتَلٰهُ رَبُّهُ فَأَكْرَمَهُ وَنَعَّمَهُ

And as for man, when his Lord tries him and then treats him with honour and makes him lead an easy life.

فَيَقُوْلُ رَبِّي أَكْرَمَنِ

He says my Lord has Honoured me

وَأَمَّا إِذَا مَاابْتَلٰاهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقَهُ

but when He tries him through the restriction of his provision,

فَيَقُوْلُ رَبِّي أَهَانَنِ

He says My Lord has disgraced me
[89:15-16]
Allah ﷻ is describing the one who will glorify and praise Allah ﷻ, when Allah ﷻ blesses him with something.

But when it is taken away the person becomes ungrateful and complains that his Rabb has disgraced him.

We shouldn’t complain about what we do not have, rather we should be grateful that we have what we have.
_
Why is it that we only make Du’a for the Barakah in this Dunya, what happened to making Du’a for the best in the Akhirah?

Wallahi, we spend so much time making Du’a for a nice House and a nice spouse, we forget that we will die and neither of these will enter the grave with us.
_
We should ask with more foresight, and not just for Barakah in the Dunya, but for the Akhirah too.
_
We also need to acknowledge that Allah has power over everything.
As Allah ﷻ says

إِنَّ اللهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ

Surely Allah has power over all things.
[2:20]
This means, that no creation of Allah ﷻ can escape the Qadr of Allah ﷻ for good or for worse.
Whatever is written is written.
The only thing that can change the course of Qadr is Du’a.

So if you’re going through a tough time, remember it was going to happen, say الحمد الله and move through it knowing that Allah has your best interests before your shortsighted wants.
