ALLAH ﷻ – THE MOST MERCIFUL
His mercy encompasses all things
Translation:
From amongst the names of Allah, is الرحيم (The Most Merciful), whatever number your sins have reached, do you think that the mercy of Allah doesn’t encompass your sins?
Listen to what Allah says
وَرَحمَتِي وَسِعَت كُلَّ شَيءٍ
And my mercy encompasses all things
Do you wish to enter into the mercy of Allah?
Listen to what Allah says
فَسَأَكْتُبُهَا لِلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَالَّذِينَ هُم بِآيَاتِنَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
So I will decree it [especially] for those who will fear me and give zakah and those who believe in Our verses.
[7:156]
Allah ﷻ commanded us, not to have despair in his mercy!
لَا تَقنَطُوا مِن رَّحمَةِ اللهِ
Don’t despair in the mercy of Allah
[39:53]
And his mercy is all around us, in his blessings and favours and his acceptance of us every single time we sin and we repent!
Imam Al Qurtubi رحمه الله says in his Tafseer
قوله تعالى ورحمتي وسعت كل شيء عموم ، أي لا نهاية لها
His saying the most high; my mercy encompasses all things is general, meaning it has no ending!

وعن عمر بن الخطاب، رضي الله عنه ، قال: قدم رسول الله ، صلى الله عليه وسلم، بسبي، فإذا امرأة من السبي تسعى، إذ وجدت صبياً في السبي أخذته، فألزقته ببطنها، فأرضعته، فقال رسول الله، صلى الله عليه وسلم: “أترون هذه المرأة طارحة ولدها في النار؟” قلنا لا والله . قال: “الله أرحم بعباده من هذه الأم بولدها”
On the authority of Umar رضي الله عنه He said:
Some prisoners were brought to Messenger of Allah ﷺ amongst whom there was a woman who was running (she had lost her child) When she saw a child among the captives, she took hold of it, pressed it against her belly and suckled it. Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Do you think this woman would ever throw her child in fire?” We said, “By Allah, she would never throw the child in fire.” Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Allah is more merciful to his slave than this woman is to her child”
[Sahih Bukhari 5653]
الله أكبر
Ya Allah have mercy on us, we are deficient in our worship, weak in our effort and sinners in need of your mercy.
Save us from our sins and grant us protection from the fire and enter us into Jannah Al Firdous by your mercy.
آمين يا رب العالمين
