Do not forsake it
Read the following Hadith:
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ حَافَظَ عَلَيْهَا كَانَتْ لَهُ نُورًا وَبُرْهَانًا وَنَجَاةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ لَمْ يُحَافِظْ عَلَيْهَا لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ نُورٌ وَلَا بُرْهَانٌ وَلَا نَجَاةٌ وَكَانَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَعَ قَارُونَ وَفِرْعَوْنَ وَهَامَانَ وَأُبَيِّ بْنِ خَلَفٍ
Abdullah ibn Amr reported: The Prophet ﷺ said,
“Whoever guards his prayers will have light, proof, and salvation on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever does not guard his prayers will not have light, nor proof, nor salvation. On the Day of Resurrection, he will be with Qarun, Pharaoh, Haman, and Ubay ibn Khalaf.”
[Musnad Aḥmad 6540, Grade: Sahih]

The Prophet ﷺsaid it will be a Noor.
It will be light on a day of total darkness, on a day where people shall be raised blind or without light, on a day where people shall be raised with a flickering light, and those that shall be raised with a bright light that guides them.
We must aspire to be from the latter!

It will be a proof, this Salah that we are commanded with.
It will come as a proof of our Shahadah, our testimony
لا إله إلا الله محمدا رسول الله
Our righteous actions are an affirmation of this statement, and the best of actions in the eyes of Allah and His Prophet ﷺ is the Salah!
Allah ﷻ warns us in the Qur’an:
فَخَلَفَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ خَلۡفٌ أَضَاعُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَٱتَّبَعُواْ ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِۖ فَسَوۡفَ يَلۡقَوۡنَ غَيًّا
But there came after them successors who neglected prayer and pursued desires; so they are going to meet evil –
[19:59]
Jabir رضي الله عنه reported: The Prophet ﷺ said: “Verily, between a man and idolatry and unbelief is abandoning th prayer.”
[Saḥīḥ Muslim 82]

Our Salah will be a means of Salvation!
Why?
In a Hadith, on the authority of Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه, Prophet ﷺ said:
“The first action for which a servant of Allah will be held accountable on the Day of Resurrection will be his prayers. If they are in order, he will have prospered and succeeded. If they are lacking, he will have failed and lost. If there is something defective in his obligatory prayers, then the Almighty Lord will say: See if my servant has any voluntary prayers that can complete what is insufficient in his obligatory prayers. The rest of his deeds will be judged the same way.”
[Sunan al-Tirmidhī 413, Grade: Sahih]

Then can we ever hope to get salvation without Salah if it isn’t up to standard?

Oh Allah give us tawfeeq to act upon what has been said, and enter us into Al Firdous.
آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينْ
