﷽
The torments, food, drink and clothes
Allah ﷻ says
كُلَّمَا نَضِجَتْ جُلُودُهُم بَدَّلْنَٰهُمْ جُلُودًا غَيْرَهَا لِيَذُوقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ۗ
We shall burn them in Fire. As often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for other skins that they may taste the punishment
[4:56]
Al Hasan said “Their skin will be roasted through, seventy thousand times every day.”
Their Food:
إِنَّ شَجَرَتَ الزَّقُّوم
Indeed the tree of Zaqqum
طَعَامُ ٱلْأَثِيمِ
Food of the sinners
كَٱلْمُهْلِ يَغْلِى فِى ٱلْبُطُونِ
It will boil in the bellies
كَغَلْىِ الْحَمِيم
Like the boiling of water.
[44:43-46]
Mujahid said “If a drop of it were to fall on the earth, it would corrupt the living of all the people on the earth”
Their food:
مِن ضَرِيع
From a thorny bush.
لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِن جُوعٍۢ
Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger.
[88:6-7]
Means, The most disgusting and loathsome of foods”
In another Surah Allah ﷻ says
يَتَجَرَّعُهُۥ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُسِيغُهُۥ وَيَأۡتِيهِ ٱلۡمَوۡتُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٖ وَمَا هُوَ بِمَيِّتٖۖ وَمِن وَرَآئِهِۦ عَذَابٌ غَلِيظٞ
He will gulp it but will hardly [be able to] swallow it. And death will come to him from everywhere, but he is not to die. And before him is a massive punishment.
[14:17]
Means, all he has to look forward to, is punishment more severe than the last.
Their drinks:
وَسُقُوا۟ مَاۤءً حَمِیمࣰا فَقَطَّعَ أَمۡعَاۤءَهُمۡ
and are given to drink boiling water that severs their intestines.
[47:15]
And
وَإِن يَسْتَغِيثُواْ يُغَاثُواْ بِمَآءٍ كَالْمُهْلِ يَشْوِى الْوجُوهَ
And if they call for relief, they will be relieved with water like murky oil, which scalds [their] faces.
[18:29]
A boiling thick, black and foul smelling drink like Oil made up of Blood and Pus.
Their clothes:
قُطِّعَتْ لَهُمْ ثِيَابٌ مِنْ نَارٍ يُصَبُّ مِنْ فَوْقِ رُءُوسِهِمُ الْحَمِيمُ
garments of fire will be cut out for them, boiling water will be poured down over their heads.
يُصْهَرُ بِهِ مَا فِي بُطُونِهِمْ وَالْجُلُودُ
With it will melt what is within their bellies, as well as their skins.
[22:19-20]
And Allah ﷻ says
كُلَّمَا خَبَتْ زِدْنَاهُمْ سَعِيرً
Whenever it abates we shall increase for them Its fierceness.
[17:97]
May Allah ﷻ protect us from the Hellfire and forgive all our sins.
