You Can’t Handle It

Allah ﷻ says
إِذَا رَأَتْهُم مِّن مَّكَانٍ بَعِيدٍ سَمِعُوا لَهَا تَغَيُّظًا وَزَفِيرً
When the Hellfire sees them from a distant place, they will hear its fury and roaring.
[25:12]

Prophet ﷺ describes the Hellfire,
It will be pulled by 70,000 chains, each chain pulled by 70,000 Angels.
[Abu Dawud]
_
This is what the wicked will see on Qiyamah!
This great, Angry Entity trying to engulf them and grab them!
A fire which Prophet ﷺ said was 70 times hotter than the Fire of this Dunya!
[Bukhari 3265]

As Allah ﷻ says about it
يَوْمَ نَقُوْلُ لِجَهَنَّمِ
On that day we will say to the Hellfire,
هَلِ امْتَلأْتِ
Are you full?
وَتَقُولُ هَلْ مِنْ مَّزِيد
And it will say “are there any more?”
[50:30]

This is its purpose! To punish the disobedient!
And as Prophet ﷺ said,
“The people will be thrown into Jahannam and it will say, `Are there any more’ Until the Mighty Lord puts His Foot over it and its corners will be collected together. and it will say, “Enough, enough by Your grace and compassion!’
[Bukhari & Muslim]

Oh Sinner! Reflect by putting your hand on a mere candle and try to keep there for more than 5 seconds!
Wallahi, you can’t handle a simple flame of a candle.

But Allah ﷻ says
لَابِثِينَ فِيهَا أَحْقَابًا
In which they will remain for ages [unending].
[78:23]
_
So ask yourself,
If you cannot handle 5 seconds, how will you handle this?
_
Reflect oh Sinner!
If this doesn’t penetrate your core and make you tremble, what will?
_
Just because we cannot see it, does not mean it isn’t coming towards us!
_
Save the pain of regretfulness by preventing and repenting in this Dunya, while you still have a chance!
_
Remember, that many said tomorrow before you, and it never came for them..
Prophet ﷺ said
“O people, repent to your Lord, for verily I seek forgiveness from Allah and repent to him more than seventy times in a day.”
[Sahih Bukhari 5948]
There are many ways to do Istighfar, and the simplest way is simply to stay “Astaghfirullah”
(أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّٰهَ) OhAllah forgive me._
If Prophet ﷺ who is sinless repented 70 times a day.
