Allah ﷻ says in Surah An’am ayah 44
فَلَمَّا نَسُواْ مَا ذُكِّرُواْ بِهِ
So, when they forgot (the warning) with which they had been reminded,
فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَبْوَابَ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ
We opened to them the gates of everything,
Meaning: We opened the gates of provisions for them from wherever they wished, so that We deceive them.’ We seek refuge with Allah from such an end.
حَتَّى إِذَا فَرِحُواْ بِمَآ أُوتُواْ
until in the midst of their enjoyment in that which they were given,
such as wealth, children and provisions,
أَخَذْنَـهُمْ بَغْتَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ مُّبْلِسُونَ
We seized them suddenly, and they were [then] in despair.
[6:44]
_
Al-Hasan Al-Basri رحمه الله said, “Whomever Allah gives provision and he thinks that Allah is not testing him, has no wisdom. Whomever has little provision and thinks that Allah will not look at (provide for) him, has no wisdom”
_
Some people forget Allah ﷻ, so Allah ﷻ makes them forget themselves by deceiving them and they became lost and away from obedience!

سبحان الله
To forget Allah ﷻ and yourself in the Dunya is to be forgotten on Qiyamah!
_
Allah ﷻ says
وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَن ذِكْرِى
And whomsoever turns away from my remembrance
فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكاً
For him is a depressed life
Even in comfort his heart will be constrained and he will feel no tranquility.
وَنَحْشُرُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيـمَةِ أَعْمَى
And we will raise him on Qiyamah Blind.
قَالَ رَبِّ لِمَ حَشَرْتَنِى أَعْمَى وَقَدْ كُنتُ بَصِيراً
He will say Oh my Lord Why have you raised me blind when I was once seeing
[20:124-125]

Allah ﷻ will say
قَالَ كَذَلِكَ أَتَتْكَ آيَـتُنَا فَنَسِيتَهَا وَكَذلِكَ الْيَوْمَ تُنْسَى
He will say “Likewise our Ayaat came to you so you turned away and forgot, likewise you are forgotten today.
[20:126]

Can you imagine, how many people turned away and stayed that way.
Allah ﷻ says
فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ
In their hearts is a disease
فَزَادَهُمُ اللهُ مَرَضًا
And Allah increased the disease.
[2:10]
_
Reflect on yourselves!
How many times have you turned away from the reminder, paying no mind to what you have just done?

How many times have you heard “Fear Allah!”
Yet you ignored!
