Take Heed of This Warning

Allah ﷻ says in Surah Ta-Ha

وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَنْ ذِكْرِي فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنْكًا

Whoever is away from my remembrance, indeed for him is a depressed life.

Meaning, his life will be hard, he will not find any tranquility and no ease. Even if he appears to be in comfort outwardly, he will not be happy.

وَنَحۡشُرُهُۥ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ أَعۡمَىٰ

And we will raise him on the day of reckoning blind.

قَالَ رَبِّ لِمَ حَشَرْتَنِىٓ أَعْمَىٰ وَقَدْ كُنتُ بَصِيرًۭا

He will say, my Lord why did you raise me blind when I was once seeing.

قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ أَتَتْكَ ءَايَٰتُنَا فَنَسِيتَهَا ۖ

He will say, Like this our Ayaat came to you and you disregarded them

This is the dialogue between the slave far away from Allah ﷻ.

وَكَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ تُنسَىٰ

And like that, today you shall be neglected.
[20:124-126]

There is no mercy rather there is only severe and terrible punishment for him with Allah ﷻ, because he forgot Allah ﷻ in the Dunya, so what will Allah ﷻ do with him?

Allah ﷻ will forget him and for him is the Hellfire.

Ibn Kathir رحمه الله writes “Meaning, “When you turned away from the signs of Allah and dealt with them in the manner of one who does not remember them after they were conveyed to you. You neglected them, turned away from them and were heedless of them. Therefore, today We will treat you in the manner of one who has forgotten you.”

Oh people!
What will become of us, if we meet this fate on Qiyamah?
The day where we are in need of Allah ﷻ the most!
And on that day we are raised blind?
_
Do you wish this upon yourselves?
If not why do you stay far from the remembrance of Allah ﷻ?
_
Allah ﷻ is all Just! So in His Justice, He will neglect us on Qiyamah, just as we neglected His worship, His obedience and His remembrance.
_
What keeps us deluded?! Don’t these Ayaat scare us?! For how much longer, will we remain in heedlessness?
_
Ya Ibn Adam! What will you do, what will avail you, who will aid you, on the day you are neglected by your sustainer?
_
Ya Ibn Adam! Don’t be blinded by this Dunya and your desires, lest you are blinded from seeing Allah ﷻ on Qiyamah!
_
May Allah ﷻ protect us and keep us steadfast.
