Flee from him
Allah ﷻ says in the Qur’an:
قَالَ فَبِمَآ أَغْوَيْتَنِى لَأَقْعُدَنَّ لَهُمْ صِرَٰطَكَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ
He [Shaytaan] said: Because You have put me in error, I will surely sit in wait for them on Your straight path.
[7:16]
Anas ibn Malik رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَجْرِي مِنْ الْإِنْسَانِ مَجْرَى الدَّمِ
“Verily, Shaytaan flows through the human being like the flowing of blood.”
[Sahih Muslim 2174]

Imam Tabari رحمه الله says in his Tafseer,
ثُمَّ لَآتِيَنَّهُم مِّن بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ
Then I will come to them from in front of them-
He (Imam Tabari رحمه الله) says:
فالدنيا، أدعوهم إليها وأرغبهم فيها
“The Dunya, I will call them to it, and make it desirous for them
وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ
and from behind them
Imam Tabari رحمه الله says:
فمن الآخرة أشككهم فيها وأباعدها عليهم
From the hereafter, I will cause them to have doubts regarding it, and prevent them from attaining it
وَعَنْ أَيْمَانِهِمْ
and on their right
Imam Tabari رحمه الله says:
يعني الحق فأشككهم فيه
Meaning the truth, I will cause them to have doubts regarding it
وَعَن شَمَائِلِهِمْ ۖ
and on their left,
Imam Tabari رحمه الله says:
يعني الباطل أخفّفه عليهم وأرغّبهم فيه.
Meaning falsehood, I will make it seem light for them, and I will make it seem desirous to them.”

This is why Allah ﷻ warns us about Shaytaan
إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ فَاتَّخِذُوهُ عَدُوًّا
Indeed Shaytaan for you is an enemy, so take him as an enemy!
[35:6]
_
And after all this misguidance and animosity, he will flee from those who followed him!
وَ كَانَ الشَّيطَانَ لِلإِنسَانِ خَذُولًا
And Shaytaan for mankind is a deserter
[25:29]

In fact, in Hellfire he will announce
وَمَا كَانَ لِىَ عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَٰنٍ إِلَّآ أَن دَعَوْتُكُمْ فَٱسْتَجَبْتُمْ لِى ۖ فَلَا تَلُومُونِى وَلُومُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُم ۖ مَّآ أَنَا۠ بِمُصْرِخِكُمْ وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُصْرِخِىَّ ۖ
But I had no authority over you except that I invited you, and you responded to me. So do not blame me; but blame yourselves. I cannot be called to your aid, nor can you be called to my aid.
[14:22]

So beware of him and flee from his whispers with the sword of Dhikr, the Shield of Ilm and the Armour of Imaan!

May Allah ﷻ protect us from the traps and the Fitna of the Shaythan and may Allah ﷻ keep us steadfast.
آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينْ
