Those Who Turned Away From My Reminder

Allah ﷻ says in Surah Taha
وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَن ذِكْرِى
But whosoever turns away from My Reminder
This means, “Whoever opposes my command and what I have revealed to My Messenger, then he has turned away from it, neglected it and taken his guidance from other sources.”
فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكاً
Verily, for him is a life of hardship,
Meaning, his life will be hard in this world. He will have no tranquillity and no ease.
وَنَحْشُرُهُۥ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ أَعْمَىٰ
and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection.
Ikrimah رضي الله عنه said: “He will be made blind to everything except Hell.”
قَالَ رَبِّ لِمَ حَشَرۡتَنِیۤ أَعۡمَىٰ وَقَدۡ كُنتُ بَصِیرࣰا
He will say, “My Lord, why have you raised me blind while I was [once] seeing?”
This means in the life of this world.
قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ أَتَتْكَ ءَايَٰتُنَا فَنَسِيتَهَا ۖ وَكَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ تُنسَىٰ
Allah will say: “Like this Our Ayat came unto you, but you disregarded them, and so this Day, you will be neglected.
[20:124-126]
Meaning, “When you turned away from the signs of Allah ﷻ and dealt with them in the manner of one who does not remember them after they were conveyed to you. You neglected them, turned away from them and were heedless of them. Therefore, today We will treat you in the manner of one who has forgotten you.”

How many people will be raised blind on Qiyamah?
_
Reflect, which of the things that Allah ﷻ made haraam did you pursue because of the Dunya?
Did you carry on with a haram relationship even after knowing it was Haraam?
Did you not pray your Salah?

Look at what the wrongdoers will say on that day:
وَلَوۡ تَرَىٰٓ إِذِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ نَاكِسُواْ رُءُوسِهِمۡ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ رَبَّنَآ أَبۡصَرۡنَا وَسَمِعۡنَا فَٱرۡجِعۡنَا نَعۡمَلۡ صَٰلِحًا إِنَّا مُوقِنُونَ
If you could but see when the criminals are hanging their heads before their Lord, [saying], “Our Lord, we have seen and heard, so return us [to the world]; we will work righteousness. Indeed, we are [now] certain.”
[32:12]
But it is too late for them! As they heard the ayath of Allah ﷻ but still denied them.
أَلَمۡ تَكُنۡ ءَايَٰتِي تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡكُمۡ فَكُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ
[It will be said]. “Were not My verses recited to you and you used to deny them?”
[23:105]

Ya Ibn Adam! This is what it means to be forgotten on Qiyamah.
_
May Allah ﷻ save us from such a disastrous calamity.
آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينْ
