Necessary Upon you is Istighfaar
Allah ﷻ says in the Qur’an:
فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُواْ رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّاراً
I said ‘Ask forgiveness from your Lord, verily, He is Oft-Forgiving’
يُرْسِلِ السَّمَآءَ عَلَيْكُمْ مُدْرَاراً
He will send rain to you, continuous rain
وَيُمۡدِدۡكُم بِأَمۡوَٰلٖ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجۡعَل لَّكُمۡ جَنَّٰتٖ وَيَجۡعَل لَّكُمۡ أَنۡهَٰرٗا
And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers.
[71:10-12]

You want safety from the punishment of Allah ﷻ?
Necessary upon you is Istighfaar!
As Allah ﷻ says:
وَ مَا كَانَ اللهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
And Allah won’t punish them, while they seek forgiveness.
[8:33]
Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Whoever increases his prayers for forgiveness, Allah will grant him relief from every worry, a way out from every hardship, and provide for him in ways he does not expect.”
[Musnad Aḥmad 2234, Grade: Sahih]

Repentance opens the door of Mercy upon a person,
Repentance from sins and misdeeds and mistakes!
For every son of Adam sins,
Yet only those who repent enter Jannah!

Al-Zubayr reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever would love to be pleased with his record, let him increase seeking forgiveness on it.”
[Shu’ab al-Imān 639, Grade: Sahih]
Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه reported: The Prophet ﷺ said:
“No man commits a sin, then purifies himself in ablution, then prays, and then asks Allah for forgiveness, but that Allah will forgive him.”
[Sunan al-Tirmidhī 406, Grade: Sahih]

May Allah ﷻ forgive our shortcomings and accept our good deeds in these blessed days of Dhul-Hijja.
