Sinning is Ungratefulness

When Allah ﷻ grants us bounties and blesses us, we must repay these blessings with gratefulness.
Allah ﷻ says:
فَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُ لَكُنتُم مِّنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
Had it not been for the grace and mercy of Allah, you would have surely been amongst the losers.
[2:64]
Allah ﷻ also says:
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَشْكُرُونَ
Indeed, Allah is full of bounty to the people, but most of the people are not grateful.
[40:61]
_ Gratefulness to Allah ﷻ is something that is shown through obeying Allah ﷻ and His Messenger ﷺ!
Allah ﷻ says
فَٱذْكُرُونِىٓ أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَٱشْكُرُوا۟ لِى وَلَا تَكْفُرُونِ
Remember me and I will remember you, and be thankful to me and do not be ungrateful
[2:152]

How many times do we say الحمد الله in the day?
_
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
Allah is pleased with His slave who says: الحمد الله when he takes a morsel of food and drinks a draught of water.
[Sahih Muslim, Hadith 1396]
_
In another Hadith,
He ﷺ said:
And الحمد الله fills the scales, and سبحان الله and الحمد الله fill whatever is between the heavens and the earth.
[Sahih Muslim, Hadith 1413]

Look how a simple word of praise and gratefulness for Allah ﷻ yields such great reward!
_
Now imagine if we were consistent in this small action or even bigger actions to show gratefulness like praying Nafil Salah or fasting or staying away from sin!
_
Staying away from sin is such an important one!
For when we sin, we only sin with the blessings Allah ﷻ has provided us!
And thus it shows our ungratefulness for His bounty and our arrogance!
_
Ya Ibn Adam! Show gratefulness, for Allah ﷻ says
لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَْ
If you are grateful, I will increase you.
_
May Allah ﷻ increase us in blessings and not prevent us from His pleasure.
May Allah ﷻ save us from all punishment and grant us all Jannah Al Firdous.
