Flee to Allah ﷻ

Allah ﷻ says in Surah Al-Furqan

Have you seen him who has taken as his vain desire as his god

Meaning, whatever he admires and sees as good in his own desires becomes his religion and his way.

Would you then be a guardian over him

Or do you think that most of them hear or understand

They are but cattle, nay, they are even farther astray
[25:43-44]
Meaning, they are worse than grazing cattle. Cattle only do what they were created to do, but these people were created in order to worship and obey Allah ﷻ and they haven’t even recognised Allah ﷻ properly!
_
What profound Ayaat, especially in our era.
Where the disease of atheism, progressive liberalism and the ‘Aql has taken precedence over religion!
_
At a time where we as humans in general are encouraged and for the most part are enslaved by our Nafs!
Whether it be the women, men, money, drugs, nice houses or fancy cars!
_
Shaytaan, The Dunya, our own Nafs has taken us away from Allah ﷻ and this has rendered us to be below cattle!
_
Why is this comparison drawn?
Because there are three stages of creation,

  1. Angels, have no desire and only obey Allah ﷻ and worship Him.
  2. Humans and Jinn, have free will to obey Allah ﷻ or their desires.
  3. Animals and creatures, they don’t possess the ability to be like Humans or Angels, and only act according to their desires.
    _
So when we obey Allah ﷻ we are better than the angels, yet when we disobey, we are below cattle!
    _
All of this, the purpose is, to highlight that despite acquiring the Dunya and living lives of wealth and luxury,

Anyone who abandons Allah ﷻ will never attain the higher levels of living.

The Dunya wasn’t meant to be a place of fulfilment,
The wealth, enjoyment and luxury we see is worth less than a dead goat!
So flee from it and back to Allah ﷻ!
_
The Prophet ﷺ said “The wise man is one who holds himself accountable and performs good deeds to prepare for what comes after death. The foolish man is one who gives into his lowly desires and seeks their indulgence from Allah .”
[Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2459, Grade: Sahih]
_
May Allah ﷻ make us among the wise people and protect us from His torment.
