Mercy and Tranquility Descends
Allah ﷻ says in Surah Al-Kahf
وَاصْبِرْ نَفْسَكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَدَاةِ وَالْعَشِىِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُ
And keep yourself patiently with those who call on their Lord morning and afternoon, seeking His Face
Meaning, sit with those who remember Allah ﷻ, who praise Him ﷻ, glorify Him ﷻ, declare His ﷻ greatness and call on Him ﷻ, morning and evening.
وَلاَ تَعْدُ عَيْنَاكَ عَنْهُمْ تُرِيدُ زِينَةَ الْحَيَوةِ الدُّنْيَا
and let not your eyes overlook them, desiring the pomp and glitter of the life of the world
[18:28]
Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه said, this means do not favor others over them, meaning do not seek the people of nobility and wealth instead of them.’

Abu Hurairah and Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri رضي الله عنهما reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “When a group of people assemble for the remembrance of Allah, the angels surround them (with their wings), (Allah’s) mercy envelops them, tranquility descends upon them and Allah makes a mention of them before those who are near Him.”
[Sahih Muslim]

Anas ibn Malik رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“No people gather to remember Allah, only desiring by that His countenance, except that it will be announced for them in the heavens: Stand forgiven! Your bad deeds have been replaced with good deeds!”
[Musnad Aḥmad 12453]

سبحان الله
You know many of us, we often avoid or not go to Majaalis and Masaajid where there are programmes, classes and lectures for people to come and learn because we don’t feel it is “Fun” or “Entertaining” and that all of these things are boring.
_
But Wallahi! The command is there from Allah ﷻ,
We should look to sit in a gathering or a lecture even amongst our friends solely for the sake of Allah ﷻ and His pleasure.
_
The Blessings and the Mercy in these gatherings are countless and trust me, you will be occupied.
There are a few pre-requisites :
2. You surround yourself with people who practice the Deen and who also share the same motives as you. A righteous friend brings nothing but goodness.
3. You go because you want to go, and you go with an open heart.
_
Once the Noor of Imaan and the sweetness of knowledge enter your heart, you won’t feel at peace unless you experience it again, until Qiyamah you won’t stop seeking that peace.

May Allah ﷻ Grant us the grace and increase us in Knowledge.
