And the Perpetual Akhira

Allah ﷻ says in the Qur’an:
مَا عِندَكُم يَنفَد
What you have will end,
وَمَا عِندَ اللهِ بَاقٍ
And what is with Allah is everlasting.
[16:96]
_
This is a reminder from Allah ﷻ about us not becoming too engrossed in the Dunya to the point where we lose ourselves and our Akhirah!
_
Because it simply isn’t worth it!
Whatever you have; wealth, fame, power etc. It will perish and end! Nor will it benefit you!
_
وَٱلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ
And the Akhirah (Herafter) is better and everlasting.
[87:17]
_
The Prophet ﷺ said in a Hadith,
كن في الدنيا كأنك غريب أو عابر سبيل
Be in this world as if you are a traveller or a wayfarer.
[Sahih al-Bukhari 6053]
_
And when did you see the traveller, after travelling for so long, taking the shade he is under as a permanent home?
He knows it’s merely for a short rest so that he may carry out the rest of his journey to Al Akhirah!
_
And he will move on whether he likes it or not!
_
Even if your hands are full with the Dunya, empty your love of it from your heart!
_
The Prophet ﷺ said in a beautiful Hadith,
ازهد في الدنيا يحبك الله، وازهد فيما عند الناس يحبك الناس
Abstain with regards to the Dunya, Allah will love you. And abstain with regards to what the people have, the people will love you!
[Sunan Ibn Mājah 4102, Grade: Sahih]
_
Why would Allah ﷻ love such a person?
Because in another Hadith, it is mentioned,
ألا إن الدنيا ملعونة و ملعون ما فيها
Indeed the Dunya is cursed and everything in it is cursed!
إلا ذكر الله،وما والاه و عالم أو متعلم
Except for the remembrance of Allah and what facilitates it, the scholar or the student.
[Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2322, Grade: Hasan]

The Messenger ﷺ sent by the One who created this Dunya is informing us, how lowly it is before Him!
_
Be the wise one.
As the Prophet ﷺ said:
الكيس من دان نفسه و عمل لما بعد الموت
The wise one is the one who restricts his desires and works for what is after death.
[Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2459, Grade: Sahih]
_
May Allah ﷻ grant us Tawfeeq, forgiveness from all sins and entry into Jannah al Firdous.
