Wallahi brothers and sisters, the month of Ramadhan is a blessing by which Allah ﷻ Has paved a way straight, clear and easy to Him and to Jannah.
This Ramadhan was ordained so that we can shake off the dust of sin, remove the veil of ignorance and to strive to become true Slaves of Allah ﷻ.
Why and how?
Because Allah ﷻ says in the Qur’an:
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
Oh you who believe, fasting has been prescribed on you and the generations before you so that you may gain Taqwa.
[2:183]
The why and how is answered with one word: Taqwa.
Ramadhan is for gaining Taqwa, and we get closer to Allah ﷻ through practicing Taqwa. Simple as that.
What is Taqwa?
When you fear Allah ﷻ to an extent that you are always conscious of the decisions you make whether Allah ﷻ would be pleased or not.
Because if we do not fear Allah ﷻ in the month of Ramadhan, and we do not submit to Him when As Shaytaan is locked up, when will we submit?

If O Sister, you do not wear Al Hijab correctly during the month of Rahma, when will you ever be ready?
If you do not improve the state of your Salah in the month of Mughfirah, when will you ever improve it?
If you do not stop talking to that Haram love on your phone during the Month of Khayr when will you ever rid yourself of it?
If you do not fear Allah ﷻ, and His punishment, nor do you hope in Allah ﷻ, nor yearn for His pleasure and reward in this month of Hasanat, when will you ever feel these feelings?

You might be thinking, I’m young… Next Ramadhan.
ان شاء الله
But who guaranteed you next Ramadhan, who even guaranteed you this Eid?
Or even tomorrow?

Time is ever depreciating.
Allah ﷻ clarifies.
وَالْعَصْرِ • اِنَّ الاِنْسَانُ لَفِى خُسْرٍ
By time, Indeed man is at a loss.
[103:1-2]
So what time have you been guaranteed that you’ll be ready then?
Ya Ibn Adam! Make use of youth, you have strength and time, soon will come a day where you will have no strength but all the time in the world.
