The Twenty Third Juz’ covers the remainder of Surah Yâ-Sîn, Surah Sâffât, Surah Saad and a part of Surah Zumar.
🔰The Juz’ begins with words that every person should ask himself, “Why should I not worship the One Who has created me, and to Whom you all shall return?” [36:22]
🔰Allah ﷻ also Mentions the woeful state of the servants who mocked every Nabi sent to them. Have they not considered how many generations before them we’re destroyed. Surely everyone will be brought before Allah.[36:30-32]
🔰Thereafter, Allah ﷻ mentions numerous phenomena that denote His great creative ability and power.
Those who will be fortunate to gain entry into Paradise joyously, and those disbelieving who will be doomed to Hell have also been mentioned.
🔰The Surah concludes with the topic of ‘Resurrection and recompense’ and establishes evidences for these.
🔰 Surah Sâffât follows Surah Yâ-Sîn. Allah ﷻ opens the Surah by taking several oaths and declaring that He is the only Master and Controller of the universe and that His system is free from the interference of the Shayateen.
On the Day of Qiyama, the Mushrikeen will become fuel for the fire of Jahannam along with their idols and gods.
🔰Allah ﷻ then mentions how Ibrahim عليه السلام and his son Ismail عليه السلام were successful in the trial that Allah ﷻ put them through when He commanded Ibrahim عليه السلام to sacrifice Ismail عليه السلام.
At the last moment, Allah ﷻ replaced Ismail عليه السلام with a ram from Jannah. This shows and how a true believer should be ready to sacrifice his all for the pleasure and approval of Allahﷻ.
🔰After making brief mention of a few Ambiyâ, Allah ﷻ recounts the epic of Yunus عليه السلام who grew weary of his people’s rejection and left the town without Allah’s permission. When he undertook a journey by sea, a huge fish swallowed him whole. While in the fish’s stomach *He repented to Allah ﷻ and Allah ﷻ forgave him. Allah ﷻ removed him from the fish’s belly and returned him to land.
🔰 Surah Saad follows Surah Sâffât.
Allah speaks of the obstinacy and pride of the Mushrikeen who did not want to accept the truth and refused even to listen to Prophet ﷺ a Warner from among them.
🔰Allah ﷻ then reminds man of the various nations of the past that were destroyed because of their sins so that people do not follow in their footsteps.
🔰The Surah then proceeds to recount an incident in the life of Dawood عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ when Allah ﷻ tested him by making him judge a dispute between two persons. When he realized that it was a test from Allah ﷻ, he fell in prostration before Allah and begged forgiveness.
🔰Then Allah ﷻ mentions the severe illness that afflicted Ayyub عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ which he endured with tremendous perseverance. Allah ﷻ then talks about certain other Ambiyâ, all of whom Allah says were “from the very best.” [38:48]
🔰Thereafter, Allah ﷻ mentions that He granted Iblis respite to live until the Day of Qiyamah. Although he will mislead mankind, he will have no power to mislead those whom Allah ﷻ has specially selected.
🔰 Surah Zumar follows Surah Saad and explains that Allah ﷻ will not guide people who lie and refuse to believe.
🔰The Surah also emphasizes that Allah ﷻ has not taken anyone as His son.
Allah is Alone, Omnipotent and does not require anything from the creation.
🔰Every person will have to account for his own doings when people are returned to Allah on the Day of Qiyamah.
🔰Allah ﷻ praises His Book, The Qur’an as the best statement wherein there is reiteration. The skins of those who fear the Lord shiver and their hearts relax at the remembrance of Allah. That is the guidance of Allah, guiding or leaving astray whom he wills.[39:23]
