Allah ﷻ says in Surah Az-Zumar

وَمَا قَدَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِۦ

They have not appraised Allah with true appraisal

These are the disbelievers who did not believe that Allah ﷻ had power over them.

وَٱلْأَرْضُ جَمِيعًۭا قَبْضَتُهُۥ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ

while the earth entirely will be [within] His grip on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens will be folded in His right hand.

وَٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ مَطْوِيَّٰتٌۢ بِيَمِينِهِۦ ۚ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ

Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him.
[39:67]

Such is the Power of Allah ﷻ!
Al Jabbar
The All Powerful! And according to some, The Compeller!
_
We aren’t Mushrikeen, we do not associate with Allah ﷻ
_
But how great is our sin, when we don’t know Allah ﷻ enough, that we cannot worship Him as He should be worshipped,
_
How greater is our sin, that We do not have Taqwa of Him as we should and so we forget He ﷻ watches us 24/7 as we sin?
_
How great is our sin, when we choose the creation of Allah ﷻ, their love and approval over the love and pleasure of Allah ﷻ?
_
How great is our sin when we act out in Piety and Courage for the sake of the creation of Allah ﷻ but not the creator Allah ﷻ?
_
Part of a Hadith Qudsi narrated by Abu Dharr رضي الله عنه,
Muhammad ﷺ said, Allah ﷻ said “O My servants, all of you are astray except for those I have guided, so seek guidance of Me and I shall guide you, O My servants, all of you are hungry except for those I have fed, so seek food of Me and I shall feed you. O My servants, all of you are naked except for those I have clothed, so seek clothing of Me and I shall clothe you.”
[Sahih Muslim 2577]

Try and count your blessings!
Start with every breath you’ve taken and every blink in your life!
You can’t count it!
_
So how then, do we live knowing that we harbour traces of the same characteristic as the Mushrikeen in this regard?
_
Seek to know your Rabb, so you may worship Him ﷻ,
Otherwise what point is your life on this Earth?
