Allah ﷻ says in the Qur’an:
وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ ٱلۡجِنَّ وَٱلۡإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُونِ
And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.
[51:56]

How many of us have forgotten this purpose in life already?
When Ramadhan only passed but a few moments ago?
Did Allah ﷻ add on to that ayah
في رمضان فقط
Only in Ramadhan?
_
So then why have you left the Ibadah you did in Ramadhan, so much so not even a fraction remains?
_
Allah ﷻ says that ayah with a Full Stop. Meaning whether you’re in Ramadhan, or in another month, whether you’re in good health, bad health, prosperity, poverty, whether you are content or in despair.
The command is Worship Allah ﷻ.
_
And one does not need to go very far in looking for an example.
Masjids that were full would be deserted with just a few people.
The Qur’an which was recited everyday would become a rare sight to behold.
_
What kind of Ummah are we?
That we put our effort into excelling in Ramadhan, but come Eid Al Fitr, we are either celebrating in a Haram way, Forgetting Salah or forgetting Allah ﷻ in general?
_
And then we expect help from Allah ﷻ?
We expect Victory from Allah ﷻ?
_
The Question isn’t Why isn’t Allah ﷻ helping us?
The Question is do we deserve the help that Allah ﷻ gives us?
_
No we don’t!
As Allah ﷻ says
إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُواْ مَا بِاَنْفُسِهِمْ
Surely Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change the condition of themselves.
[13:11]

So next time you wake up and you forsake Allah ﷻ instead going to work early to please your boss, know that Rizq is from Al Raziq not from your Boss.
_
Next time you forsake your Salah for some other activity, remember this Ayah.
What could be more important than your purpose in life?
_
We need to realise that simply existing as a human is not our purpose.
This is the ideals of the atheists and the disbelievers.
And that is why they are so lost.
But you have a purpose!
_
May Allah ﷻ protect us and keep us steadfast.
آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينْ
