Strive For It
What has Allah ﷻ promised the Mu’mineen?
Allah ﷻ says
وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ
Allah has promised the Believing men and Believing women, gardens beneath which rivers flow.
[9:72]
سبحان الله
Prophet ﷺ said “Allah ﷻ said ‘I have prepared for My righteous slaves that which no eye has seen, no ear has heard and it has never crossed the mind of man. All of that is reserved, besides which all that you have known is as nothing.’ He ﷺ then recited
فَلَا تَعْلَمُ نَفْسٌۭ مَّآ أُخْفِىَ لَهُم مِّن قُرَّةِ أَعْيُنٍۢ
No person knows what is kept hidden for them of delights of eyes. (32:17)
[Sahih al-Bukhari 3072, Sahih Muslim 2824]

Thus we find that the promise of Allah ﷻ is unknown to us except what little motivation and information was passed on by the Qur’an and Sunnah.
_
Allah ﷻ says many times in the Qur’an
خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا
They shall abide therein (forever)
[3:136, 3:198, 4:13, 4:57, 4:122, 5:85, 9:72, 11:108, 14:23, 20:76, 25:76, 29:58, 31:9, 46:14, 57:12]

Forget trying to comprehend Jannah itself, rather comprehend the timelessness in which the abodes of heaven and hell are!
All we know is the concept of beginning middle and end!
But try and comprehend endless bliss and happiness!
You can’t!
And in this attempt you will find that you realise the difference between this Dunya and Jannah is that happiness in Dunya is shortlived while with each passing moment in Jannah it is only increased!
As Allah ﷻ says
الَّذِي خَلَقَ الْمَوْتَ وَالْحَيَاةَ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا ۚ
(Allah) who created death and life to test you, which of you is best in deed.
[67:2]

Allah ﷻ specifies Death and Life… but why?
Because this Dunya revolves around this cycle!
Because after the Death of this Dunya there is Eternal Life!
And this is in order to test us on how well we do our duties as Believers!
_
May Allah ﷻ make us among those who pass the test of this Dunya and may He ﷻ gather us together in His Jannatul Firdaus.
آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينْ
