Don’t You Want These Rewards?
Allah ﷻ says
وَسَارِعُواْ إِلَى مَغْفِرَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا السَّمَـوَتُ وَالاٌّرْضُ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
And march forth in the way (which leads to) forgiveness from your Lord, and for Paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth, prepared for the righteous.
[3:133]
Allah ﷻ encourages His servants to perform righteous deeds and to rush to accomplish the acts of obedience.
_
It was reported that the meaning of Allah’s statement,
عَرْضُهَا السَّمَـوَتُ وَالاٌّرْضُ
as wide as the heavens and the earth
This draws the attention to the spaciousness of Paradise.
_
Allah ﷻ is telling you and I here, Turn back to me and stay to the path of Taqwa!
And a Jannah the size of the heavens and the earth is yours!
_
A Jannah the size of the heavens and the earth?! Imagine reclining in this Jannah, with Hoor Al Ayn, Drinking cups of Khamr Al Jannah, Rivers of Milk and Honey, without fatigue, without interruption, without age, without sadness or grief.
Imagine, all this is ours.
All of that was created for us, the Mu’mineen!
Why?
Because Allah ﷻ is Ar Rahman, and through his Rahma alone will we enter Jannah.
ان شاء الله
_
Yet when we reflect on ourselves,
Do we tread the path of righteousness or wretchedness?
_
We have been given the Truth and we have had the matter made clear for us,
That if we worship Allah ﷻ and follow the Sunnah of Prophet ﷺ, only good can come from it.
_
That if we live a good life, then we will die a good death and we will be raised in a good way on Qiyamah!
_
So why do we continue to avoid our duty?
Why do we avoid our worship and obedience to Allah ﷻ?
_
We have seen Death, yet we act as if it doesn’t exist for us!
We know that Qiyamah, and Jahannam and Jannah are unavoidable, yet we act negligently toward our own fate!
_
We all work and work and strive for the benefit for our Dunya and our temporary pleasure,
Yet we avoid the command
وَفِی ذَ ٰلِكَ فَلۡیَتَنَافَسِ ٱلۡمُتَنَـٰفِسُونَ
And for that let the aspirers aspire.
[83:26]
_
We need to wake up! Turn back to Allah ﷻ, make Tawbah to Allah ﷻ and stay on the path of righteousness!
_
So that we may earn Jannah Al Firdous Al A’la.
_
May Allah ﷻ grant us the Tawfeeq to be among those who enter Paradise.
