It’s Virtues and Making Good Use of it
Abu Huraira (رضي الله عنه) reported the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) as saying:
“The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday; on it Adam was created. on it he was made to enter Paradise, on it he was expelled from it. And the last hour will take place on no day other than Friday.”
[Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 854]
Muslims should make their intentions for purification; taking a bath, wearing the finest of your clothes, wearing musk (perfume) and using siwak.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said;
Bath on Friday is compulsory for those who have attained the age of puberty.
[Sahih Bukhari 879 book 11 hadith 4]
Al-Hasan commented,
“By Allaah! Hastening to the prayer is not accomplished by the feet. Indeed they were prohibited from coming to prayer without tranquility and dignity. Rather it is about the hearts, the intention, and the submission.”
Allaah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said:
When it is Friday, the Angels stand at every door of the Masjid and record the people in the order of their arrival, and when the Imam sits (on the pulpit for delivering the sermon) they fold up their scrolls and listen to the mention (of Allaah).
[Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 887, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 850]
And Allaah (ﷻ) says;
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِذَا نُودِىَ لِلصَّلَوٰةِ مِن يَوْمِ ٱلْجُمُعَةِ فَٱسْعَوْا إِلَىٰ ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ وَذَرُوا۟ ٱلْبَيْعَ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
O you who have believed, when [the adhan] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu’ah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allaah and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew.
[Al Jumu’a 62:9]
From the etiquette of Fridays, is to not separate between people sitting, waiting or listening to the Khutbah and to pray two or more voluntary Raka’ats until the Imam gets on the Minbar.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“Whoever takes a bath on Friday, purifies himself as much as he can, then uses his (hair) oil or perfumes himself with the scent of his house, then proceeds (for the Jumu’ah prayer) and does not separate two persons sitting together (in the Masjid), then prays as much as (Allaah has) written for him and then remains silent while the Imam is delivering the Khutba, his sins in-between the present and the last Friday would be forgiven.”
[Sahih Bukharin 883 hadith 4 book 8]
REMINDER
Increase your supplication on Friday for there is between it a time when supplications are not rejected. Allaah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said:
“There is a time on Friday at which no Muslim would ask Allaah for what is good but He would give it to him.” And further said: “This is a very short time.”
[al-Bukhaari 5295]
Also, The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“Whoever reads Surat Al-Kahf on Friday, he will be illuminated with light between the two Fridays.”

Tomorrow, 24th September, 2021 is another Friday, take maximum use of it.
May Allaah (ﷻ) accept our prayers and forgive us our mistakes.
