Some Lessons from Surah Al-Mulk

Allah ﷻ says
تَكَادُ تَمَيَّزُ مِنَ الغَيْظِ
It almost bursts up with fury.
Meaning, some parts of it almost break apart from other parts due to the severity of its rage and anger with them.
كُلَّمَآ أُلْقِىَ فِيهَا فَوْجٌۭ سَأَلَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَآ أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَذِيرٌۭ
Every time a group is cast therein, its keepers will ask: “Did no warner come to you”

قَالُواْ بَلَىٰ قَدۡ جَآءَنَا نَذِيرٞ فَكَذَّبۡنَا وَقُلۡنَا مَا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَيۡءٍ إِنۡ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَٰلٖ كَبِيرٖ
They will say,” Yes, a warner had come to us, but we denied and said, ‘ Allah has not sent down anything. You are not but in great error.’
_
وَقَالُواْ لَوۡ كُنَّا نَسۡمَعُ أَوۡ نَعۡقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِيٓ أَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ
And they will say, “If only we had been listening or reasoning, we would not be among the companions of the Blaze.”
Meaning, `if we would have benefited from our intellects or listened to the truth that Allah ﷻ revealed, we would not have been disbelieving in Allah ﷻ and misguided about Him. But we did not have understanding to comprehend what the Messengers came with, and we did not have the intelligence to guide us to following them.’
_
فَٱعۡتَرَفُواْ بِذَنۢبِهِمۡ فَسُحۡقٗا لِّأَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ
And they will admit their sin, so [it is] alienation for the companions of the Blaze.
[67:8-11]

3 lessons from this passage.
_
- Hellfire is too terrible to imagine, therefore we mustn’t risk it as muslims to say, “It’s fine we’ll go Jannah anyway”… Who knows how long the torment will be upon us? And we couldn’t handle being touched by the fire of Dunya for 5 mins let alone 1 Huqb (80 years)
_ - When someone is doing a sin and they hear a Hadith or a Qur’an Ayah forbidding it, it is obligatory for them to repent because the truth has been established and they have been warned so they have no excuses on Qiyamah.
_ - You might be the most intellectually sound person in Dunya like Stephen Hawkings, but because he can’t acknowledge the oneness of Allah, his intellect is below the foot of the Goat Sheperd that knows Tawheed.
