Lessons from Surah An-Nisa

Allah ﷻ says in Surah An-Nisa:
وَاللَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْكُمْ
Allah wants to accept your repentance.
Meaning, From sin and error committed
وَيُرِيدُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَّبِعُونَ ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ أَن تَمِيلُوا۟ مَيْلًا عَظِيمًۭا
But those who follow [their] passions want you to digress [into] a great deviation.
Meaning, indicates that the followers of Shaytan among the Jews, Christians and the adulterous, wish that you would take the horrendous path of falsehood instead of the truth.
يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَن يُخَفِّفَ عَنْكُمْ
Allah wants to lighten for you [your difficulties]
Meaning, His legislation, orders, what He prohibits and what He decrees for you.
وَخُلِقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ ضَعِيفًۭا
And man was created weak
[4:27-28]
Meaning, Concerning women”. Waki` said, “Man’s mind leaves when women are involved.”

Wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, repeat the words “Allah wants” “وَاللهُ يُرِيْد”.
_
Why?
When you think about it, whenever you think about what Allah ﷻ wants, you think about what He ﷻ has decreed about a matter and it makes you more like you to obey Him.

Walking down the road?
Allah ﷻ wants me to lower my gaze.
At work?
Allah ﷻ wants me to pray my Salah.
With someone you shouldn’t be with?
Allah ﷻ wants me to guard my private parts and not to approach unlawful women.
Done some Haram?
Allah ﷻ wants me to repent.

So think about what Allah ﷻ wants over what you want.
After all, who can deny Allah ﷻ, His right ﷻ, apart from the loser.
And His right, is to be obeyed.

- While Ibn Kathir رحمه الله mentions that Allah ﷻ is talking about Jews and christians, and the adulterous.
Think about your companionship
Do you obey Allah ﷻ, when you are with your company, muslim or non-muslim?
_ - Allah ﷻ Has created man weak with regards to the matter of women.
Sufyan At Thawri رحمه الله said, “A man will see a woman walk past and he will gaze at her even though it brings no benefit to him, what is more weaker than this?”
_
This is Allah telling both men and women, important matters.
Men, get married before you end up sinning.
Women, cover up because a man will lust over you with his eyes, because he is weak.
_
May Allah ﷻ grant us a deeper understanding and forgive all our shortcomings.
آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينْ
