Paradise And Hell Awaits
The Salaf had Hearts which had fear of Allah ﷻ, which recognised Allah ﷻ, and their only concern was the pleasure of Allah ﷻ

We on the other hand feel so safe and happy with ourselves.
Stagnant in our condition, not seeking to improve it.
We have dying hearts!
The Prophet ﷺ said
مثل الذي يذكر ربه و الذي لا يذكر مثل الحي و الميت
The example of the one who remembers his Lord and the one who doesn’t is like the example of the one who is alive and the dead person.
[Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]

When was the last time we cried over ourselves?
_
Some of the most pious Sahaba رضي الله عنهم would cry over themselves!
_
Ibn Al Jawzi رحمه الله narrates that Umar رضي الله عنه used to have 2 black lines on his cheeks from the amount of crying he used to do.
Not only this but Umar رضي الله عنه used to say
لو نادى مناد من السماء: أيها الناس إنكم كلكم داخلون الجنة إلا رجلا واحدا لخفت أن أكون أنا هو
“If a caller from the heavens called out: oh people! All of you shall enter Jannah except one man, I would fear that I am him.”

Uthmaan رضي الله عنه would cry till his beard was wet from his weeping, when standing at the graves!
And he also used to say:
If I was between Jannah and Hellfire, and I didn’t know which one was my abode, I would choose to be Ash before I came to know of which of them I would be going into.
_
But they were guaranteed precisely for their actions and their fear of Allah ﷻ!
_
While we, are not.
So that means we must try our utmost in fearing Allah ﷻ , in making Du’a to Him, in obeying Him and worshipping Him.
Where do you stand with Allah ﷻ?
What is your relationship with Him?
Have you gotten closer with Allah ﷻ on this Ramadan?

Ya Ibn Adam!
Two abodes await, both are eternal, so leave this temporary abode and make the Akhirah your greatest concern!
_
May Allah ﷻ grant us forgiveness from all sins and grant us entry into Al Firdous.
