Allah ﷻ says in Surah Al-Imran
يَوْمَ تَبْيَضُّ وُجُوهٌ وَتَسْوَدُّ وُجُوهٌ
On the Day when some faces will become white and some faces will become black
This is when the faces of followers of the Sunnah and the Jama`ah will radiate with whiteness.
According to Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه the Black faces are referring to Ahlul Bid’ah.
فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ اسْوَدَّتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ أَكْفَرْتُمْ بَعْدَ إِيمَـنِكُمْ
As for those whose faces turn black, [to them it will be said], “Did you disbelieve after your belief?”
Hasan Al Basri رحمه الله said “They are the hypocrites”
فَذُوقُواْ الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ
Then taste the punishment for what you used to reject.”
[3:106]
Ibn Kathir رحمه الله said “This description befits every disbeliever”
_
وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ٱبْيَضَّتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ فَفِى رَحْمَةِ ٱللَّهِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ
But as for those whose faces will turn white, [they will be] within the mercy of Allah . They will abide therein eternally.
[3:107]

Wallahi, we need to ponder over the state we will be in on Qiyamah,
Do we fulfil the obligatory commands upon us from Allah ﷻ?
Salah?
Qur’an?
Fasting?
Staying away from sins?
_
What is our relationship with the Sunnah of Prophet ﷺ?
Do we leave it because it is Sunnah, or we do we act upon it because it is a Sunnah?
_
We need to reflect on whether up till now, have we been Muslims by Name or by action?
_
Have we affirmed the shahada with our mouths or our hearts?
_
Do we think,
That we will come on Qiyamah with white faces after wasting this life chasing the Dunya?
_
Do we think that Muhammad ﷺ will recognise us as part of his Ummah, if we have no trace of the Sunnah in our lives?
_
It doesn’t matter what you attest to be the truth,
So fix your intentions and act accordingly!
Wallahi! Everything will be on show and you will not be able to hide from it.
_
People will know just by looking at you,
This person has Noor! He is righteous!
This person has a darkened blackened face! He is a Sinner!
_
As Allah ﷻ says
لَا تَخْفَىٰ مِنكُمْ خَافِيَةٌ
Not a secret of you will be hidden.
[69:18]
_
You will stand before Allah ﷻ raised up from the ground upon the state you died in, and you will die upon the state you lived in!
_
May Allah ﷻ grant us the best of endings and gather us in His Jannatul Firdaus.
آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينْ
