Allah ﷻ says in Surah Al-Hashr
وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِينَ نَسُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ فَأَنسَىٰهُمْ أَنفُسَهُمْ
And be not like those who forgot Allah, and He caused them to forget themselves.
Meaning, do not forget the remembrance of Allah ﷻ otherwise, He will make you forget to perform the good deeds that benefit you in your return, because the recompense is equated with the action.
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَ
They are those who are REBELLIOUS.
[59:19]

And among punishment of forgetting Allah ﷻ in this Dunya, is Him ﷻ making people forget to do good deeds and distances them away from it.
_
In the next ayah Allah ﷻ continues:
لاَ يَسْتَوِى أَصحَابُ النَّارِ وَأَصحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ
Not equal are the people of the fire and the people of paradise
Meaning, they are not equal in terms of judgement before Allah ﷻ.
أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ هُمُ ٱلْفَآئِزُونَ
The people of Paradise are those who are SUCCESSFUL!
[59:20]
Meaning, they are those who will earn safety from the torment of Allah ﷻ.

Reflect!
Are we of those who forget Allah ﷻ often?! Or do we remember Allah ﷻ often?
Which of the two parties will we deserve to be gathered with on Qiyamah?
People of Paradise?
Or People of Hellfire?
_
The only way to be successful is by worshipping Allah ﷻ, being obedient and having consciousness and fear of Allah ﷻ!
_
Ya Ibn Adam!
Where are you headed in the hereafter, what have you done to earn Jannah?
_
Ya Ibn Adam!
Don’t forget Allah ﷻ, lest He forgets you on the day you are in need of His mercy most!
As Allah ﷻ says:
وَقِيلَ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ نَنسَىٰكُمۡ كَمَا نَسِيتُمۡ لِقَآءَ يَوۡمِكُمۡ هَٰذَا وَمَأۡوَىٰكُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن نَّٰصِرِينَ
And it will be said, “Today We will forget you as you forgot the meeting of this Day of yours, and your refuge is the Fire, and for you there are no helpers.
[45:34]

Turn back to Allah ﷻ before it’s too late..
Repent
_
May Allah ﷻ forgive all our shortcomings and keep us steadfast upon His Deen.
آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينْ
