The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allaah is: (. . .). He (ﷺ) added: ‘If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise.’”
(Sahih al-Bukhari, 6306)

Say;
اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي ،
“O Allaah, you are my Lord,
لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ ،
there is none worthy of worship except You,
خَلَقْتَنِي
You have created me,
وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ ،
and I am Your slave,
وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ
and I am upon Your covenant
وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ ،
and Your binding promise as much as I am able,
أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ ،
I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have committed,
أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَىَّ
I acknowledge Your Favours upon me
وَأَبُوءُ لَكَ بِذَنْبِي ،
and I acknowledge my sins,
فَاغْفِرْ لِي ،
so forgive me,
فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ
for indeed there is none that forgives sins besides You.”
